Hotel has a great location - basically right on the ocean on one side, and on a river on the other. Couple minutes walk to the town's main street. The rooms are bare-bones and the bathrooms are old, but everything functioned. No A/C but I believe there was a ceiling fan. The pool was refreshing and it was pleasant to lay out on the lounge chairs. Staff was courteous. Recommended. Don't expect a 5* hotel, but I thought it made for an enjoyable two night stay.

Goed hotel voor een redelijke prijs. Het is schoon en de service is prima. Kamers zijn wel heel gehorig. Je kunt een goede gids via de receptie boeken. Kanotoer en de nachtexcursie zijn aan te bevelen. Het plaatsje zelf is klein en gemoedelijk.

Points forts : • Excellent emplacement avec la plage d’un côté, le village de Tortuguero de l’autre. À distance de marche du Parc national de Tortuguero. • Belle piscine creusée • Gentillesse du personnel • Restaurant pour repas du midi/ soir • Meuble allongé et rectangulaire, très pratique pour les valises. Points à considérer • N’offre pas de petit-déjeuner, restaurant disponible à distance de marche, à considérer si vous êtes pressé ou avez une activité tôt le matin. • Air climatisé qui ne peut pas être plus bas que 24 degrés, à considérer si vous êtes moins tolérant à la chaleur.

Situation excellente au calme au bout du village, la lagune d'un côté, l'océan de l'autre, charmante maison style caribéen. Propriétaires attentionnés, et bon guide pour aller sur la lagune au petit matin. On apprécie la piscine pour se rafraichir.

Très bel endroit pour les amateurs de faune et de flore! Le terrain est magnifique et peuplé de nombreux animaux. C'est aussi juste à côté de Tortuguero et à quelques pas de l'entrée du parc national. Il y a un accès à la plage également. Bémol si vous n'aimez pas les insectes: il y a beaucoup d'espace entre les planches de bois et ils peuvent donc entrer facilement dans la chambre. Nous avions apporté un mousticaire de camping et nous en sommes servi pour éviter les mauvaises surprises.

Rien à redire. La localisation est parfaite. les chambres sont supberbes. Nous avions une chambre au 1er étage, ce qui est certaiment plus tranquille. Très beau jardin avec piscine. Propriétaire adorable

Super endroit qu'est Miss Junnies Lodge. Situé à l'écart du reste de tortuguero, cet hôtel dispose d'un jardin magnifique (vous pourrez y apercevoir des iguanes énormes !!) et d'une piscine agréable. Il est tout en bois, ce qui apporte un charme supplémentaire. Les plages sont à quelques mètres et plusieurs chemins sont à proximité immédiate pour aller se balader. L'accueil est agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses et sont pourvues de la climatisation. Le petit déjeuner est bon et copieux. Nous y avons également pris un repas du soir qui était lui aussi bon et en quantité. Une très bonne adresse à recommander !!

Miss Junies location is superb with access from the waterway on the front, the Caribbean across the back yard, and within easy walking distance to town. The rooms aren't fancy, which I did not expect for the price and were clean. However, they definitely need some upkeep (our sink wasn't hooked securely to the pedestal). The best thing is the close easy access the Caribbean with a nice beach. The most disappointing aspect was customer service. We lost the key to our room (our bad), but the handling of the situation was atrocious. First, they claimed they did not have another key, and the ease with which they were able to unlock the door with a screw driver was very disconcerting. They did let us move to a different room after we insisted since this one could not be locked. There was a sign in the office that said there would be a $35 fee for a lost key. When we checked out, the office wasn't open, and the woman in charge made us pay $50.

The property is located exactly where you want to be. Lagoon on one side, ocean on the other, and steps from the vibrance of the village. We arrived early for check-in and were allowed to leave our bags in the lobby and served fresh, cold juice. It seemed like we had surprised them by arriving early and the young person who served us juice was the first and last pleasurable interaction with staff aside from the person who cleans the pool. We did not eat at the lodge so we cannot speak to the food. The rooms are rustic and we were grateful for the fan that had been provided. If you suspect you are going to struggle with the heat and humidity, this is not the place for you. The setting is quiet and maintained. The pool is lovely although the pool furniture was sparse and had seen far better days. Do not lose your key as they charged us to replace the door handle instead of honoring the posted rate for key replacement. They also left us waiting outside of our locked room for an hour when the whole time the door could have been opened using a credit card, then chastised us for getting their outdoor walkway wet while we waited. It was bizarre and uncomfortable for us. We would not go back, but can see why some people do.
