Ashley Court Hotel

We had such a great time here last July that we booked again but for 3 nights this time... Had same room on ground floor overlooking the pool..weather was great so straight in the pool it was warm and clean.. Staff at the hotel are the friendliest ive ever met... Our room was clean and plenty of towels toilet roll and tea/coffee etc.. Breakfast was tasty and drinks in the bar cheap.. No entertainment this time as hotel was quiet but we went out into town anyway.. We are aware it needs a lot of work but it has everything we need there..we do have problems with slopes but found slopes everywhere in Torquay!!!!! A lovely relaxing stay once more😁😎

Myself and my two sisters have just come back from a lovely week at Ashley Court Hotel in Torquay. We booked 3 single rooms but got a twin room each which we found very spacious. Yes the rooms needed updating but the rooms were very clean. The showers worked well and a housekeeper came every morning to leave fresh towels as required and a general clean and topped up tea coffee and milk. The public areas again needed updating but were still clean. The staff were very friendly and food nice but I would say our husbands would probably need bigger portions fortunately they were not with us. It was particularly hot 30th June for the week and the lounge had no air conditioning so we were unable to stay most nights for the entertainment but what we could hear was very good. Bingo every night two singers and a comedian on the last night which, from the laughter we heard must have been very good. We tended to spend our evenings in a large lounge area where it was cooler amusing ourselves playing cards and doing crosswords. Had it hadn't been such a hot week we would have stayed for the entertainment. All in all a fantastic week, thoroughly recommend for the price a bargain. Went with Grand UK tours.

Don’t go there This hotel should be closed down and health and safety should be visiting them this is not fit for human consumption Carpets not fix down mould in shower trays broken sinks toilets out of order near bar damaged furniture never dusted Cleaners not doing there job properly or there work checked over 20 complaints on first night of arrival from guests Shame that all the above let the hotel down As bar / restaurant staff were brilliant food was great Cleaning staff should be sacked

A dirty , smelly hotel not fit for holidays . Bathroom shower unfit to stand in due to smell and thick layer of human hair built up in the water outlet . Sink outlet rusty .Room wasn't dusted in the 5 days we were there. Beds not made just pulled up and dirty stained cover pulled over . Outlook from bedroom , well just a large piece of plastic with 2 paving stones to hold it down . Staff were all lovely and can't fault the food , delicious .

Old ,tired but enjoyable, food was very good, staff amazing and good entertainment , The hotel is obviously struggling , but we were made welcome , room dated , but bed clean and comfortable , excellent value for what we paid , quite easy to get to town although the hill maybe a struggle for some

I dont think I have ever stayed at a dirty run down Hotel in my life ,the whole place need's refurbishing the bed was uncomfortable as their was no cover on the mattress just a very thin sheet . It was cold in the room despite the heating being on . I had to ask for a clean glass as the one given was disgusting the second wasn't much better so went out and brought one at the charity shop . The only thing going for it was the food which was very good . I find it difficult to believe that the company we went with would send people their . I have email them but of course I haven't had a reply and I don't expect one which is a shame as it has put me off using them again .
