I cannot rate the Ecolodge highly enough. It was outstanding. Fantastic and attentive staff who supported and cared for me during my 4 day stay. My special thanks to Aldi who is an amazing person making my experience truly memorable. When asked to help me Aldi exceeded my expectations by ensuring my visit at the Lodge and my trip to Komodo islands ran as smooth and trouble free as possible. I must also mention Dati and others in the restaurant who served up absolute delights. The Lodge is surrounded by forests, waterfalls and at night the stars are spectacular with the brightness of the milky way mistaken for cloud. The sounds of the birds and the sweeping views across Flores and beyond are incredible. Thank you so much for everyone at Mbeliling Mountain Ecolodge for a wonderful time and hoping to return to the Lodge in the not too distant future.

very nice place for everyone who loves nature & birds. tours can be organized by the friendly & helpful team. ask for a bird-tour aldi knows all about the birds around (over 100)

We stayed at the Ecolodge for 2 nights and had a great stay. We stayed with two kids in one of the little houses. It was very clean and we even had hot water. The view from our house was beautiful and even better from the restaurant. The food and service are good as well. We definitely recommend staying here!

We enjoyed staying at Mbeliling so much! The atmosphere admidst the trees is so peaceful and the climat very pleasent - far from the heat of the coast. The cabins are very comfortable and the view is simply stunning. Also the dining area with it's big terrasse is amazing. We saw so many beautiful birds while eating or enjoying a drink. We had booked the 4days3nights program which was very interesting (Comodo dragons, snorkling, sulfit lake and waterfall...). Our guide Aldy was very kind and showed us so many birds and plants - thanks for the beautiful pictures ;-). We would definitely book the whole stay again!!

We stayed at Mbeliling for four days, it was our base for tours to Komodo, snorkelling, trips around the area and to nearby waterfalls. The lodge is in a beautiful setting and you can watch the stunning sunsets from your room or from the dining room.

This lodge is an oasis. The traditionally built rooms and restaurant are perched in the mountains surrounded by lush jungle, beautifully cared for gardens and abundant birds. The staff are incredibly helpful and knowledge, and we can’t thanks Aldi enough for his advice, care and guidance. The food is excellent and nothing beats a cold drink on the balcony at the end of the day, watching the glorious sunset over the ocean and islands.

We had an awesome stay at Mbeliling Mountain Ecolodge on Flores Island. The views from the lodge were amazing: a beautiful jungle in which we heard and saw several tropical birds. The food was very nice too. Not far from the lodge we visited two waterfalls — Cunca Wulang and Cunca Plias: you will have to arrange a transport but the staff can help you out. What truly made our stay memorable was the warm hospitality of Mr. Yudi and his team. Thank you for your incredible work!

This ecolodge is a lovely option for a nice change of pace and scenery if you'd like to see another part of Flores besides Labuan Bajo. It's about 45 minutes away from Labuan Bajo and is perched on the hillside. Because of its location, expect to climb up and down the hill each day to get to/from your cabin - it's quite a workout! We were in cabin #2, which had a balcony and a lovely view of Labuan Bajo. Mosquitos weren't as bad as I was expecting, and the turndown service includes spraying the cabin for mosquitos in the evening. It seems like ecotourism is still up and coming in this area, and the ecolodge offers multiple tour options. I wanted to get some birding in, so we did two half day and one full day tours and we paid to have a birding guide for all the tours (which is an additional fee). Sam was our guide and is very knowledgeable about the region after decades of conservation work with the surrounding villages. He's been training some of the ecolodge staff how to bird, so the staff are also very good birders as well. The staff were super friendly, and we're very grateful to Aldi and Eddy for their help during our stay.
