Sun Club El Dorado - All Inclusive

From the minute we arrived staff were friendly and very helpful, check in was easy we got a free upgrade to a sea view bungalow, sandwiches were giving on our arrival as it was midnight before we arrived Bungalow was clean and had everything we needed and the view was amazing, be aware not all bungalows have safes installed so you might want to ask at reception to keep them for you or make sure you lock your door everytime you leave. Out of the 3 pools the bottom pool was the one we went to the most, plenty of room to swim, there is plenty of sun loungers for every one, the loungers at the lower pool are lay flat only and hard plastic so bring a towel and don't expect to sit up on them. The middle pool by the restaurant has the better loungers. Fully adjustable and canvas. The middle pool is the only one with a snack bar for food. The lower pool just has a bar. Food was nice and fresh, lots of options every meal had something different every day, even for 2 semi fussy people there was always something to eat at all 3 meal times Entrainment in pool even if you don't want to join in you feel the energy and fun that's happing around you, staff are not pushy if you say no thank you there will just walk away with a smile Evening entertainment in bar is fun, you have the kids mini disco, while we been here there also been a parrot proformace and music quiz, that's very entertaining The walk from bungalows to main restaurant and reception is a bit hilly, but is manageable just take it slow and rest if needed All in this place was fantastic and I we will definitely try and come back

Just spent a week here with my partner and our 15 month old and 5 year old. Pro's - views are spectacular - pools are great and no sunbed wars - great aircon in the room - great selection of drinks - generally clean Cons - food is terrible. We are not fussy eaters and can usually get by with basic food but the food here is awful. Mostly grey meat stews, fish, mash, sprouts. Takeaways deliver but ours took 3 hours to arrive. - not a lot for kids to do. My son tried to go to kids club every day and was told it wasn't open because there were no kids... but they didn't open it so obviously there'd be no kids? We saw kids and parents wanting to go to kids club too but they were told the same thing. - entertainment lacking - mini disco is the same 5 songs and done. Karaoke most nights. - staff cba. We watched a lifeguard spend all day chatting at the bar, she didn't even glance at the pool which she was meant to be watching over. This is good for a couples short break, if you're wanting it as a base and get a taxi out each night for food. No good for families.

Came back from here last week and can honestly say me and my daughter had the best time . We had a bungalow and the beds were comfy and the air conditioning helped in the 38 degress weather . The food was ok we didn’t go hungry but if you ask reception they will help you order food from local kebab shops which we did on some nights . Every single pool was amazing . The top pool was quiet good for sunbathing and getting some peace especially if you’ve had to many cocktails the night before . The middle pool was next to the snack bar which is helpful . The bottom pool was were they had daily activities such as darts competitions, dancing lessons , basketball , water aerobics. They ask if you want to play but they don’t pester which is good . There are always plenty sunbeds on every pool . The bottom pool closes a bit later . Around 7/8pm the other pools close at 6 . The night entertainment was great something different every night . The views are amazing I’ve never seen anything so beautiful . There’s also a little park for the kids to play on at the side of the club . It is remote but we caught the bus into town just a little walk up the hill 2 mins walk and the bus comes there every 20 mins . Had a lovely day in town plenty shops and restaurants and of course the beautiful beach . There is a hairdressers and shop in the hotel but it’s quite expensive so I’d recommend going into town for your essentials . The staff are lovely . I read the reviews before I came here so I was a bit worried but it was better than I expected . My daughter loved the food and the pools and the entertainment day and night . I’m quite fussy so I lived on chips and bread for the week . There are also vending machines throughout with snacks. There is a cafe up the road if you miss breakfast that’s quite cheap . Overall me and my daughter aged 9 loved it . We would 100000% go back . Do not go off the bad reviews I don’t know what there talking about .

I really enjoyed my stay at Sun Club El Dorado for what it is — a simple, budget-friendly spot in a nice, peaceful location. The room was clean and comfy, with great air conditioning that kept things cool. I did wish there was a fridge to keep drinks cold, but overall it was fine. Cleaners came every couple of days, which worked well. The food was okay — nothing to write home about, but I was happy since fish was served regularly. The meat dishes weren’t always the most appealing (I’ll never forget the beef burger that looked like it could still moo!). There wasn’t tons of variety, and I noticed quite a few guests ordering food from outside, which we did a few times too. The staff were friendly enough, though we didn’t have a lot of contact with them. One cleaner was a bit rude when we couldn’t understand her Spanish, which was a little disappointing. The pools were great! The quiet top pool was perfect for relaxing, the kiddie pool in the middle was cute, and the bottom pool had music and daily activities going on — good fun if you like a livelier vibe. Evening entertainment was okay, nothing too exciting. The bar closes at 11, and shortly after, the lights around the bar area turn off, which felt like a gentle nudge to head back to your room. The location is super peaceful but pretty remote. There’s not much in the town except a small café, so you’ll need to catch a bus or taxi to get to beaches, shops, or other things to do. The bus was cheap, easy, and came regularly. There’s a spot with steps down to the sea for swimming or snorkeling, but it can be tricky to get in and out because of the rocks, so I wouldn’t recommend it for young kids. Overall, nothing really bothered me — just a few small niggles here and there. It’s a solid choice if you’re after a budget holiday, but keep in mind it can add up if you need to eat out or travel a lot. I might go back, but it’s best for travelers who want a quiet, no-frills getaway rather than anything fancy.

This was an amazing holiday, don’t be put off by bad reviews as honestly was great. The only thing i will mention is the food is a bit bland and repetitive, and isn’t great for fussy eaters however they do have chips and meats but can get a bit boring after a while. The entertainment was great the staff work so hard and definitely keep everybody engaged while getting people involved. The rooms were clean and nice to be in was no issue there, The hotel room can be difficult to find when you arrive as the reception staff can be unclear so be mindful of this. But overall i would definitely come again and worth the money, and i do definitely recommend for a relaxing hotel break holiday.

Highly recommend not coming to this hotel,not suitable for pushchairs or wheel chair uses it’s all hills and hardly any ramps. Upon arrival the reception staff was extremely arrogant and unhelpful demanding we pay for a room as they claimed there was an issue with our booking even though they was shown our reference,luckily the travel agents we booked with sorted it for us. The rooms are not what are advertised they’re extremely small and less than basic(showers falling apart and bathroom flooded due to poor drainage, no kettle or hair dryer in the room and no fridge or cupboards to store anything). The cleaners don’t change towels or bedding regularly and only clean rooms twice a week, towels were dirty upon arrival. Food selection was extremely bland and there wasn’t any rotation of meals. The only positive was the dessert station with ice cream, cakes and fruit. We ordered a take out every night as did many other guests, it defeats the purpose of all inclusive. Kids entertainment starts at 9 and only lasts 30 minutes the main entertainment is not appropriate for any children that stayed after. Bar staff very rude unless you are a young girl they can flirt with, we witnessed many occasions of bar tenders sneaking off with hotel guests. The all inclusive drinks machines were covered in wasps and the sun loungers are near the machine so we ended up swatting them away all day. All round bad experience, the best part is the view of the sunset and the sea.
