Sun Club El Dorado - All Inclusive

Just got back from here this morning. 16th May. Had 10 days out there. Its a lovely place for the money you pay. The only one thing I see as I very very big red flag is the mens toilet. No secondary door so when little girls go to the toilet they are exposed to men using the urinal witch in my eyes is wrong on every leavl. No little girl should be exposed to this kind of thing. They need secondary doors so this cant happen. Apart from that one thing it's a great place. Easy bus ride to arsenal an palma Safe are all friendly. Our basic bedroom done its job an was clean. I went to sun club with my family around 2015-18, here’s what I remember: Main pool area, clubhouse with table and chairs with a stage for entertainment, a kid’s club by the clubhouse, a lounge area by the pool, further up, a smaller pool with a stable nearby and pony rides available for children, a mini water slide and a golf course, and the reception area and a restaurant with a buffet, the kids club crew would take us around each day to do one thing around the location, I would definitely say it’s better for the children than the adults, since it is quite isolated, so no restaurants or shops nearby, also note that the rooms are not standard apartments, they are small square complexes dotted around, everything is outside and spread around, so you will have to go on a trek every morning, the area is also hilly, and no lifts( due to the outside) just steps and pathways, but the area offers a lovely sea view, I don’t recommend for older tourists with mobility issues or tourists with pushchairs or babies.

We stayed at the Sun Club Eldorado for a week and to be honest we had a fabulous time. Reception staff were do helpful finding us a room central to everything as our mobility isn't great. The room was basic but clean. Beds were really comfortable. Bed changed once room cleaned 3 times. Food we found to be really good but be warned if you don't like salad, roast lamb, gammon, fresh salmon and other fish, pork chops, burgers, paella, chips, fresh veg, bacon, sausage, fried eggs boiled eggs scrambled eggs, pancakes, plus many other foods don't go. The pools were cleaned daily and pool areas clean. Plenty of sunbeds. Food served throughout the day I.e.pizzas sandwiches etc. WHAT DO PEOPLE WANT this hotel is trying hard to accommodate everybody. Drinks were good no complaints. It is a little hilly but we took our time and managed. 2 things I really think is needed a fridge and kettle in the room. ON THE WHOLE A FAB TIME SPOILT ONLY BY BRITISH YOBS WHO CANT TAKE THEIR DRINK. NOT JUST YOUNG ONES EITHER. No wonder the reputation of the British is in shreds. Luckily you could go to quieter places. The bad reviews really confuse me what do people want. Sorry for the long review

I’m not the type of person to expect much from a budget hotel but I would NOT recommend this one! The scenery was gorgeous! Some bungalows even had an undisturbed view of the ocean where you can see the sun rises and set, so was beautifully located for the price. But the food was very very basic and I got food poisoning and was horrendously sick and it basically stole two days from my holiday as took a day in the room to recover from it afterwords. The hotel receptionist that seemed friendly at first suddenly turned very hostile when I was finally well enough to go and tell her and I don’t think she even reported it for me as I had asked! I’m just so thankful that my children hadn’t eaten the sane as me that evening! Another member of staff let it slip that I wasn’t the only guest to ever mention food poisoning there too tho! The rooms were decent for what you pay and the cleaners were efficient. The evening bar had a lovely view of the sea and was nice and entertainment was ok, bar shuts at 11 but quite a few drunken rows in the early hours which isn’t nice if you’re on holiday with your kids. The bus service was decent, bus stop a short walk up the hill from hotel. If you are coming back late you’ll need a taxi tho.

Horrible experience. Pay a lot of money just to be put in a back room staring at an old unfinished fence. Horrible smell in the room and bedsheets that probably belonged to my grandparents. "Snack bar" that had bread old salami and probably out of date cheese. And the probably the first "resort/hotel " I've been to that you had to pay for internet. WTH... food ok-ish nothing to fancy.

Im going to break this review down into bullet points to make it easier for you, the reader. FOOD: - I am a fussy eater, fussy as in I eat fresh home cooked meals and food hygiene is essential for me - not fussy as in I only eat ready meals and ketchup (like most the people here). I never found an issue with the food. I always had something to eat, fresh grilled meat and fish everyday. - Breakfast is the same standard hotel breakfast you get everywhere. - One lady hated the food so much she was first in the queue everyday waiting to go in, exclaiming how much she hated the food, odd that isnt it? DRINKS - genuinely great. Didnt have the cheap petrolly taste that most all inclusives have. - The pina colada does look like cottage cheese because its coconut CREAM and its absolutely delicious - There are mugs to get hot drinks in at meal times and extra glasses available for other drinks on offer - some people forget to mention that and like to make life difficult for theirselves ROOMS - we had the most basic room, it was kept clean by us, the users. - Fresh towels every two days but could swap when needed - Shower was absolutely perfect great water pressure and we just decided to not have it on full blast and throw water everywhere so the room never flooded - quite a simple fix for such a large online issue. - Walls are paper thin, we have been lucky to not have any issues with neighbours but we also brought earplugs incase which was handy. STAFF - always willing to help if there is an issue. - Get treated with such disrespect by the people who stay here its a miracle that they keep their cool LOCATION - 505 and 504 bus go into palma and S’Arenal. Nice busses - have aircon, both tap on tap off with any bank card and with no fees. Really easy to use and are great to visit. - S’Arenal has a lovely beach and is very lively lots of good restaurants and bars and is a good day out - Palma is lovely definitely worth a visit - cathedral is beautiful lots of shops and lots of restaurants MOBILITY - If you have mobility issues; youd like to think youd have the common sense to read up before hand that this isnt the place for you. It is hilly but if you are relatively healthy then its absolutely doable. - DO NOT GO DOWN TO THE BEACH. Its just unsafe. Go to S’Arenal ENTERTAINMENT - Was entertaining - cant fault it… apart from .. this brings me to my final section THE CLIENTELE - Rough as TOAST (about 50% of them) - Think that because they booked to go on holiday this means everything is catered to them and ONLY them - Love the drama of arguing with staff and will quite literally find anything to complain about - Definitely looking for a freebie by leaving bad reviews - Honestly not very nice people. Rude, obnoxious, self centred - Think they are the main character except theyre not - The food is catered to these people, i can almost guarantee if you offered them a fresh beautiful platter of fruits; vegetables, grilled fish or anything
