I booked a capsule room before arriving in Japan, but it wasn’t clear to me that it was male-only. At check-in, the staff insisted it was stated online (I couldn’t find it even after checking three times) and said the only available option was a twin bed room, which I had to book instead.
The staff mentioned she would cancel the capsule booking but didn’t inform me about the refund timeline. She was also quite indifferent and inattentive during check-in. On top of that, the twin room had a broken light—I can provide a photo if needed.
Please advise on the refund and whether anything can be done about this experience.
