Where do I start. My first impression should have been enough to cause me to turn around and walk out. There was nobody at the front desk and there was a sign stating to be patient because the front desk was also responsible for housekeeping and preparing breakfast. Not to mention, I am pretty sure that they accept vouchers from the city/state for homeless individuals. By this point at 11 p.m. I was so tired, I just wanted to go to bed. Then my key didn’t work. Went back to the front desk. Again, nobody there. Finally go into my room. The curtain rod and shower curtain were laying on the floor in the bathroom. I went to shut the curtain and it came down. I don’t know why I thought it would get any better. I pulled the blankets back and discovered a stain on the bedding. Let me just say that it was of the bodily fluid category. Later I discovered that it has changed names a dozen times. So, stay away from this hotel. It was non-refundable, but I really didn’t care. My peace of mind to get the heck out of there and head to the Double Tree down the street was worth it. I did attempt to get a refund through the third party agent I booked with, but they were told by the front desk staff that they didn’t receive any complaints from any guest. Funny, on my way out the door I informed the front desk that I would not be staying there because I felt unsafe and the hotel was disgusting. She told me that there was nothing she could do, but she would let management know. Needless to say I never received a phone call. Not surprised.
