Rubicon Hotel Motel

非常不錯的酒店。周邊景色非常漂亮。酒店佔地面積非常大。除了住宿，還有酒吧和餐廳。唯一需要適應的就是酒店的地板是木質的，走起來有點咯吱咯吱的響。酒店的檸檬樹真的不錯，長了好多的檸檬。聖誕節前正是檸檬成熟的季節。

What a little gem. If you are looking for a great little weekender with friends, look up the Rubicon Hotel in Thornton. Great location, close to eateries, Lake Eildon, the Goulburn River, walks swimming, fishing, water skiing, gold courses, it has the lot. The pub is fantastic with a great selection of beers on tap and an amazing wine list from your regular favourites all the way up to some of Penfolds best. The bistro tucker again was a great surprise and really well priced for the quality. Now - As for the accommodation, again wow!!! It's clear the owners are spending some coin on the rooms, renovating most of them and they are fantastic, modern, great value and surrounded by well maintained gardens. Finally, the staff couldn't have been any friendlier, from check in staff to bar staff to bistro staff. Made you feel like a local. A cracking place for a weekend or longer with the other half, a group of couples or a group of friends. 10 out or 10.

We stayed in room 17 the 3 bedroom family unit. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Inside the room was very modern we were actually quite surprised. Great value for money, 3 seperate bedrooms in the one unit. Had kettle/toaster etc. Heating worked well. Nice & close to the pub for a meal & we stayed to watch the Anzac Day match. Would definitely stay here again. We have family in Alexandra which was only a 10 minute drive from them.

Crashed at the hotel when we were in the area for fishing trip. Great pub choice of food and a good room, clean, fresh and comfortable beds. Staff were great ... they did a great job

The Family Room was great, very comfortable, clean & perfect for our time away. Staff were amazingly friendly & very helpful, always asking "is there anything you need". Bistro was great & the meals were fantastic!

This Motel is brilliant value for money. We stayed in a recently renovated 3 bedroom suite which is ideal for families and friends on a holiday. The pub has great food with friendly service. We have stayed here many times and always return. Highly recommend.

For the price, it is a good location, clean comfortable beds, nice bistro and bar & well located (close to Marysville). Would suggest staying if you are visiting Yarra. It’s close and not very expensive. Good clean green spaces within the motel grounds for kids to play and have fun as well.

Everything at the Rubicon Hotel Motel is better than you'd expect, considering the location and price. The re-furbished room was nice. The pub is good, with a decent front bar for watching sports and playing pool, and the bistro serves decent meals. Everyone who works there is friendly and the town of Thornton in general is a friendly and relaxing place to spend a weekend.

My husband and I stayed for four nights over new year in a family room and it was a pleasant experience. The QS bed was quite soft and sunk in the middle which wasn't ideal for two people, but thankfully there was a single bed in the room as well, so this was used too. The room and bathroom were both very clean and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Staff were lovely albeit we kept to ourselves most of the time. The best part of the trip was finding out what the guest wifi password was. Absolutely hilarious!!!
