Columbia River Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The redone rooms were beautiful, and the beds were VERY comfortable. The fan stayed on all night which for me is a big deal, and the price was great. The lobby is stunning as well. Very great choice in The Dalles.

This hotel ranks right up there with one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is extremely run down, has not had any upgrades that I have seen and we have stayed there probably 3 times over the past 10 years. One of our groups rooms had no screen on their sliding glass door. Windows around the property are broken, doors scratched and gouged up, carpet lumpy and shredded. We had a group of probably 200+ people. Do you think they could put on extra staff for breakfast in the mornings, no! Many of our group had a long drive ahead of them on Sunday morning so when a group of at least 20 people were went to the dining room early Sunday morning so we could get on the road, they had one wait staff working. We left and went to McDonalds. Never again for sure and don't waste your time or money on this dump. We were on the road 7 days, stayed in 5 different hotels many less money or the same as this one and all of them a huge improvement over the Shilo. Very disappointing since we were at this hotel for 2 nights.

The employees are wonderful. Mere, the front desk receptionist, is very nice and helpful!. The gentleman in the restaurant in the hotel is helpful and courteous. Housekeeping is on the ball and ensures you have a great stay.

コロンビアリバーで釣りをした時に一泊したホテルです。スタッフの方の感じもいいし、部屋はけっこう快適なのですが、レストランは普通。無料の朝食は、ありがたいのだけど「まあこれなら無料だよな」って感じでしたｗ　でも、景色は素晴らしいです

Stayed here with kids for one night. Pros: great location- near freeway and view of dam and river. Quiet. Cons: VERY dated and old. Linens torn. They still use real metal keys (haven't seen that in 10 years or more). For the price I would stay somewhere else. Didn't have the breakfast as is a pre-fixed menu of (3) choices only. 2 stars for view and location.

Just off the interstate near the Dam, this place has very large bedroom with a kitchenette, large vanity and shower/bath. Free wireless and breakfast included. The facilities were clean and comfortable and although next to the highway, we didn't fell the road noise interfered with our quiet enjoyment. It reminded me of the sound of waves breaking when I stay at a seaside resort. The only area that I noticed could use a touch-up was the bathtub but for the money I found it quite acceptable.
