Horrific customer service. Hotel was full of rude and disrespectful employees. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!

I came here on a business trip. I was exhausted after a full day and woke up the next morning, pulled the bed spread up to ensure I didn't leave anything in the sheets and saw a fresh blood spot that wasn't from me. They never changed the sheets, disgusting. I reported it first thing in the morning.

I booked a room through a Travelocity at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas Plano/The Colony on Saturday May 18, 2024. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in with the front desk rep Jennifer. I said to her “every time I check into a hotel my room is always by the elevator”. Jennifer stated yeah that is because you booked with a third party and we do not like third parties. I looked up at her and said I do not always use a third party to book my hotel rooms. Can you please make sure I am not next to the elevator. Jennifer stated your room is not next to the elevator and if it is come back down to the front desk and I will move you. I was in a rush to get to my family and friends so I did not have time to go back and forth with Jennifer and the way she was talking to me as if because I am getting the room and a cheaper rate I should accept whatever room I get. When I got off the elevator, I immediately notice my room was in fact next to the elevator. Again I was too busy and didn’t want to be labeled as the angry black woman that booked on a third party app, because I can’t afford the rate without going through a third party. The next day when I checked out of the room, I explained to Alisha at the front desk what happen. She apologized for Jennifer’s behavior. Alisha stated that it should not matter how the guest booked their rooms. If we request not to be put in a room they can look in the computer to ensure that they are not in a room near the elevator or etc. if the rooms are available. I always stay at a Marriott hotel branch but after this experience. I need to look in to other options if I am going to be treated a certain way if I book through a third party. It should not be offered if the guest are going to be treated different. I hope that I do not have to deal with this ever again and if that is the true case. Marriott should look into other options to book their rooms to the public.

At check in would not me finish mobile check in. Was told at front desk that hotel no longer allows it and they tried to re swipe my card that was already charged online for hotel stay and incidentals. Location decent and good parking. Big lack of power plug ins and this is rare for a Marriott brand. I had to unplug the alarm clock to plug in my cell phone cord and also unplug the laptop to plug in the coffee maker. Fridge decent size. Room 220 very noisy near elevator. Pool was outside so this was a downer. Breakfast above average based on lack of selections but I have noticed a recent trend in last year with hotel breakfast offered sliding down on options and quality at many times.

The hotel was in a good location. Breakfast was nice. Unfortunately the bed was very hard and you could feel the coils, so not very comfortable. There was also loud noise from the freeway and the walls are thin!! So if you’re a light sleeper good luck.

Great hotel for a great price! It was just a one night stay, but very glad this is the hotel that we choose. The bed was super comfortable and the A/C was ICE COLD! The young man at the front desk who checked us in was very nice as was Charles when we checked out. The breakfast was great. Plenty of hot and cold items to choose from and the area was kept clean. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had an unexpected overnight stay here due to some home repairs. The management was friendly and thy arranged for a late checkout the next day. I would recommend if you are passing through or live in the area and need to get out town guests somewhere to stay. Nice, basic, clean rooms room with breakfast in the morning.

It was a busy weekend but check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location is conveniently located within minutes of shopping and restaurants.
