Jenny Lake Lodge

This was a great romantic trip for my girlfriend and I. The hiking around the location was ideal. The food was delicious. The scenery of the Tetons is incredible. We ended up getting engaged on this trip! The lodging took note of our engagement and helped us to celebrate our engagement. The hotel staff were friendly, kind and attentive. This is a great place to get away and enjoy high quality hiking, scenery and nature. We look forward to coming back in the near future.

The Staff - JD great front man at the desk to great us, Cam our waiter, Lilly our horseback guide were just fantastic. Mauricio went out of his way to explain the Lodge and was very helpful. We had nice conversations with the other cleaning people. The staff will bend over backwards to accommodate you. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Do the horseback ride. Great experience.

Many things are charming about this lodge and we had a fabulous dinner last night in the dining room. Our server was very professional and the dinner was a five course fine dining experience of excellent quality. A welcome treat while touring the parks. Unfortunately we had booked two king bed cabins and we had requested we be next to our daughter and her boyfriend (although we understood this wouldn’t be guaranteed) and they stuck us in a cabin that was overcrowded with a queen bed and a twin bed and two lounge chairs! We couldn’t even move in there! Put in a sleep sofa for heavens sakes and eliminate the extra furniture. Literally no where to put our suitcases and move around. What was so annoying about this is that the room next to our daughter is a beautiful king room with lots of space (the lights are on so we can see it when we go over there) and they told us we can’t stay in there because there was a lock issue and maintenance had to work on it. To top it off our alarm went off at 6 am thanks to housekeeping or the guests before us. It is the one day we get to sleep in a bit after jet lag so I’m not happy about it. Then I learned that the same thing happened in our daughter’s room! We were both up an hour and a half before we need to be. Horseback riding that is “included” in the cost of our room is not something we can book ahead as I had asked about that and it is unavailable to us as it is first come first serve so that stinks for people who check in at 4:00 and find their way over to the stables (no signs as to how to find it) and then the sign up sheet was full. Very disappointing. Others may have a perfect stay but we have been very disappointed by all three of these things. Move a doorknob from our room to the room we would have been happier in maybe? My husband could have done that with a screwdriver for heavens sakes. Have housekeeping turn off the alarm clocks and make it possible to book horseback riding at the time you book your reservation.

Jenny Lake Lodge has been on our bucket list for a while. We had to cancel our trip during the pandemic, but were thrilled to rebook it for this year. It thoroughly lived up to expectations. The location is great for hiking and biking around the lake. It is serene and quiet, set away from the hustle and bustle of the Jenny Lake Visitor Center. The most accessible hiking paths also generally avoid the areas frequented by the crowds at the visitor center, while still letting you access the same areas. The cabin was rustic but very well appointed. It was cold outside at night and the electric heater worked great. The beds were comfy. Housekeeping was excellent and made sure we were fully stocked with everything we needed for our family of four. We didn't ride horses, but they had rides for ages 8+ that were readily available to book during our 3-day stay, if you booked when you first arrived. We were there in late August -- so maybe it helped that it wasn't peak summer. They tended to be 1.5 to 2 hour rides with limited timing choices, so it just didn't work with our schedule -- but if you really wanted to go, it was available. Dining was amazing! Yes, the rooms are pricy, but they include a first class breakfast and dinner with each night. If you are a foodie, this is the place to stay in the park -- no question! We had one adventurous child who thoroughly enjoyed the adult menu, and one more cautious one who was plenty satisfied with offerings from the kids' menu. No one left hungry. The servers were flexible, and you could even mix and match a little if the youngers ones wanting to try one or two items from the adult menu. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are included with your stay, but you should be aware that gratuity is not (and is substantial for the value of the meals provided) -- just be sure that's part of your budget. We would definitely consider returning in a future year, and in fact we saw many other travelers in the dining room who appear to make this an annual tradition. I can absolutely see why!

Les commentaires laissés par certains m’avaient fait peur et bien je peux dire que mon avis est radicalement contraire . Notre chalet (water Lily) était exceptionnel. Idéalement situé à l écart des autres mais devant les Tetons, assez proche du restaurant sans en supporter les odeurs … La pièce est grande avec un très grand lit mais également un canapé cuir et deux fauteuils où il est très agréable de se poser quand il fait froid dehors. La salle de bain est sympa avec une baignoire spa . La terrasse est un vrai bonheur le matin pour prendre un café avant les ballades . Cet hôtel est extrêmement bien situé et permet de faire de magnifiques ballades ( dures ou non) sans avoir à prendre la voiture et éviter ainsi la foule des parkings. Nous y avons passé 4 nuits idéales ! Bon il faut le savoir , le prix est comme tout aux USA délirant …

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. On site complimentary bicycles and guided horseback riding added to the fun. Short bike ride to String Lake for swimming and rock jumping. Unique and delicious five course dinner every night. Wonderful experience.
