Bishop's Lodge Auberge Resorts Collection

We love visiting Santa Fe and this was our first time at Bishop's Lodge. It is a beautiful and well-run property and we will happily return. Service was very friendly and attentive and the room was well-appointed. Location is ideal and we loved staying near the historic Chapel.

This is a very nice property that spans multiple acres. The resort has multiple activities, including guided hikes, culinary experiences, like tamale making with Chef Stephanie and gin education and crafting with Missy, a well educated Sommelier whose knowledge goes far beyond wine. It is well designed in a modern organic style with the warmth of traditional southwestern style sprinkled in. We stayed in Chapel 2 and my parents and their cocker spaniel stayed in Kiva Sun which had beautiful views and a hot tub perched at the top of the property. I give this property 5 stars because the staff and service made our experience feel like we were family visiting our rich uncles ranch. Communication is key with the concierge before arrival. Lonnie and team made sure we were booked for family activities we could enjoy with my senior parents, as well as couple time for me and my partner to spend alone reconnecting. The entire staff is willing to help with on property transportation to get you to your cabins if you don’t want to climb the steep but paved paths. They are also knowledgeable about the surrounding area and made helpful suggestions on places to go and things to do as well as things to avoid keeping the ice conditions in mind. We rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle from the airport in Albuquerque but honestly, you don’t need a car if you’re staying at this property. They have several shuttles that will take you into town and drop you wherever you want as well as pick you up. Parking in Santa Fe can be a bit of a challenge, and I found the service to be extremely valuable. They also have four Mercedes Zidane’s. You can check out for four hour periods if you want to explore the area independently. The food on property was excellent. We enjoyed the Skyview Café for multiple meals and my favorite of course room service breakfast being from the East Coast. We are often in our rooms after an early dinner, enjoying time by the fire, a glass of wine and some cookies left for turn down service. I really appreciate the Auberge brand and properties stepping in to fill a void in the luxury travel space. They are combining experiences with great service, food, accommodations and a elevated but casual environment that makes you feel at home. It is just so well done. Having been disappointed in recent years by The Ritz Carlton brand I use to rely on, it is nice to know I can count on Auberge for the special celebrations with touches that made my parents and my partner feel welcome without feeling stuffy. The staff is well trained and seem to enjoy their work environment.

One of the most beautiful locations we have stayed at in the U.S., let alone Santa Fe. We booked a Kiva suite for our anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Incredible views, two indoor fireplaces, an outdoor firepit and a private hot tub. Honestly we didn’t want to leave the kiva. We hadn’t planned to eat dinner at the property at all, but the sunset views were so breathtaking we ended up making sure we were back to watch it from the hot tub on the patio every night. The food was great (best granola we have ever had), and the service was impeccable. The floors were stone and there were huge sets of floor to ceiling French doors in both the bedroom and bathroom so it can get cold overnight. We ended up keeping the fireplace on after the first night and that was fine. We were recommending this place to friends before we checked out and will definitely look forward to a return stay.

I absolutely love this property. The rooms are well appointed with quality textiles and unique special touches. The bedding is so comfortable and the pillows are of varying density. The staff is so wonderful and friendly. I can't wait to go back.

We visited Bishops Lodge through our Inspirato membership. We enjoy Inspirato because of the high quality destinations that they partnership with. The property is very nice, we loved the room and the overall setting. The property is well located to enjoy Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. The reception staff and concierge were pleasant and efficient. The meal at FireSky was nice and I thought pretty good value. The staff in the restaurant were excellent - friendly and high energy. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing quick break.

We stayed 4 nights during the off season and the weather was very cold, but we still had plenty to do and enjoyed our time thoroughly. We did activities organized by the hotel and on our own. The hotel uses texting and it made scheduling activities and communicating our needs very easy. The staff was incredibly responsive and could not have been better. Most of the staff called us by name and my kids LOVED the afternoon art sessions with Mark.
