My husband and I recently stayed for one night at this gorgeous cottage and just wish we’d known about it before! It is first class in every way..with lovely welcoming owners, a delightful location with the most amazing views! Our room was spotless and provided everything you need and more including coffee and tea facilities, fresh milk, biscuits, chocolates, wine glasses, dressing gowns, ironing board and iron, complimentary toiletries and the comfiest king size bed. The best full English breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the beautiful grounds and served with homemade bread and marmalade. We will definitely be returning.

Just faultless - wonderful hosts in a stunning property & location - dreamy bedroom with balcony over the immaculately kept garden and lake - breakfast was exceptional with local bacon / sausage- homegrown tomatoes & eggs! And Linda’s wonderful homemade marmalade - only stayed one night as at a family wedding - but wouldn’t hesitate to return for longer just to sit and chill - thank you both

Wir sind so froh, diese Oase der Ruhe gefunden zu haben! Die Gastgeber Linda und Ian haben uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und waren überaus freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, und man hatte hier diverse Optionen. Für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei. Dazu kam der herrliche Blick aus dem Früstücksraum in die Landschaft. Unser Zimmer (so wie das ganze Haus) war gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Auch genügend Möglichkeiten zum Verstauen von Sachen waren vorhanden. Von unserem Balkon aus hatten wir einen traumhaften Blick über das große Grundstück mit dem wunderbaren Garten und dem Teich. Ein Kleinod!!

Where do I start, firstly I was running late for my check in and after calling to notify the hosts, Linda was more concerned ensuring I have eaten as there wasn’t much in the area. On arrival, Linda met me with a flask of fresh milk for my teas and coffee and settled me in. In the morning I was met by the most wonderful full English breakfast I have ever eaten. I was informed that the eggs were freshly laid this morning, bread was also made that morning and that Linda had personally made the marmalade. Both Ian and Linda are extremely attentive and their attention to detail was noticed throughout my 2 night stay to chocolates next to my bedside to remembering my name every time they saw me. They are incredible hosts and I would recommend anyone to visit for a luxury weekend away! I’ll definitely be returning!!

A faultless experience. A delightful cottage, immaculately clean, superb peaceful surroundings, great breakfasts and charming hosts. Deserving of every one of its 5 star rating. We look forward to revisiting Linda and Ian’s lovely home again before too long.

We booked in for our wedding anniversary. Linda and Ian were welcoming and keen to make our stay comfortable with good facilities and a breakfast menu of variety, cooked by Ian to a high standard. Home grown eggs and bread make by our hosts added that extra special touch. In fact, the whole breakfast experience was there to enjoy. Our room with the balcony gave beautiful views over the Devon countryside and the quiet was deafening. So peaceful and a world away from the usual city sounds. The ensuite facilities were another plus with clean fittings and space to move around. Nothing was too much trouble from the welcoming smile to general conversation, all was a great experience. Leaving was the hardest part as we could have stayed longer. Alas, All things must come to end. Hopefully, it will be nice to stay again in the future.

Had a lovely one night stay here, very warm welcome from Linda who was very accommodating, our room was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished, lovely bath and separate shower with everything we needed! The breakfast was lovely, fantastic choice, quality produce and beautifully cooked, even a choice of home made bread! We would love to return, definitely a hidden gem, you will not be disappointed!

Ganz bezauberndes B&B mitten auf dem Land. Alles sehr idyllisch - Blick auf die Felder, den See und die hauseigenen Pferde. Trotzdem nicht weit entfernt, um Devon zu erkunden. Das Zimmer ist sehr komfortabel (mit Balkon), dass Badezimmer sehr groß mit Dusche und Badewanne. Alles sehr sauber und mit sehr viel Liebe ausgestattet. Ian und Linda sind fantastische Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war unglaublich lecker mit einer tollen Auswahl und einem wunderbaren Blick aus dem Wintergarten auf Wiese und Teich.

From the second we arrived to the second we left, we had a thoroughly wonderful time. The standard of cleanliness, quality of service and beautiful surroundings all made this one night get-away a trip to remember. Fantastic accommodation. 100% recommend to all. Would definitely stay again. First class choice of breakfast - extremely well cooked. Very comfortable night. Beautiful bed linen. Host and Hostess were so charming and welcoming. We felt really relaxed and spoilt. So many extra touches from fresh cold milk to make drinks in the room (rather than long life plastic capsules) to good quality biscuits and bottled water. No wonder this accommodation scores so high. You could not fault it.
