Quality Suites

I booked this hotel via the Choice Hotel site. I thought I was booking the other Quality Inn a few miles away. That was my first disappointment. We check in two rooms for the weekend. The hotel is only two stories, why does the elevator take forever! Get to the room, open the door...oh snap! Someone is still in the room. Our other room we thought was locked from the inside. Turns out you have to turn the handle a certain way to open. Back to the first room, we go to the front desk and tell them the room is occupied. No...they just didn't clean it. They asked if we could wait while they found someone to clean it. Ummm NO! They gave us another room with an adjoining room door that had tape on the lock. About 20 min later there was a loud beating sound. Like someone was beating on our door. We look out, our neighbor is slamming the door trying to get it to lock. REALLY!! This was all within an hour of checking in. Breakfast bar consisted of a few baked goods, weak coffee and a juice machine. The ladies at the front desk were nice and that's all I can say about this stay. I won't be going back.

We booked this hotel last minute after a botched reservation. The room was a good size and clean. I cannot remember the front desk lady's name (an older lady), but she was very pleasant and we struck up a good conversation. Breakfast was standard continental with the Texas-shaped waffles. For the price, i felt it was not a bad place at all.
