Cute little hotel built around an immaculately tended courtyard. It's located on the edge of the old city northwest of downtown, and a 10-minute walk from Chorsu Bazaar. In the other direction, it's a 20-minute walk to Tashkent City Park with its Singapore-style hypermodern shopping mall, so you're really poised between two worlds. The rooms are small and don't get much natural light, but if you plan to be out-and-about, that's an acceptable tradeoff. Not to be confused with Mirzo Guesthouse, which is listed in Lonely Planet in the same general area, but, as far as I can tell, is now defunct.
