La Perle Tahaa

The good things - nice island, great tour, excellent snorkling at end of the pier. The place is pretty shabby. The more expensive cabins are adequate, but by no means worth the price. My shower sprayed water all over the stall. The less expesnsive rooms were more problematic. One of our group had no hot water, to discover the heating had fallen down and was not attatched to the tank. One room had sloppy spackle on what seems to have been a hole. The food was excellent, but not worth the $50 price. The paint on the beach chairs was pealing and had no mattresses.

The property is totally run-down, and there appears to be no effort to fix it up. Because of the location, you end up eating most of your meals there, and the price for dinner was really high, and the price for cheap wine was outrageous! ******* makes it seem that the price to get to and from is included in the price, but it wasn't and that was expensive too. Most of the time there was no one there to offer assistance. On the bright side, the assistant there arranged a really nice day tour for us, and we enjoyed going to the end of the pier to snorkel or watch the sunset. Our bungalow had holes in the walls, and our friends place had no hot water heater. Our group were the only people there, so there was no need to put us in deficient units, and then offer to let us pay more for a different unit, which we declined to do. No doubt it is cheaper than other places, but there is a sense that they don't care if people are satisfied or not.

Une pension très bien tenue , donnant sur la baie de Hahamene...Bungalows avec clim et excellente literie , attention au mitigeur eau froide et chaude des douches...Une très bonne cuisine locale : poissons et fruits frais à volonté....Taha'a n'est pas une île facile , peu d'activités , pas de plages , bcp de zones d'eau saumâtres...Aussi on s'est rabattu sur les Excursions aux motus , jardin de Coraïl et nage avec les requins pointes noirs et un tres bon repas .sur le motu....Un seul point noire dans la pension et surtout en excursion aux motus les Boom Blaster et leur bruit Atroce qui gâchent la beauté des lieux...

Var bara en i personalen som pratades Engelska och han var ej där då jag anlände. Restaurangen vara bara öppen kvällstid då det var lågsäsong. Så jag fick cykla till en liten butik 2.5 kilometer bort för att handla vatten och egen lunch. Men personalen var trevlig och jag och några andra gäster åt en helt underbar 3 rätters middag där.

Parfait pour un séjour à Tahaa Bungalows GAMBIER et MARQUISES de très bons standings à la propreté impeccable. Accueil chaleureux. Petit déjeuner top. Et le site des raies juste en face de La Perle de Tahaa. Vélos et jeux de société mis à disposition. Ambiance conviviale en début de soirée.

Quitte ou double Si vous aimez les soirées arrosées et la musique boum boum cela vous conviendra, nous n'avons pas apprécié ce point. Le restaurant est bien mais nous avons trouvé ça un peu cher et surfait. La localisation est idéale, en face du motu Tau Tau. Le prêt des kayak, masque et tuba est appréciable.
