We always seek out interesting, intimate, mostly B&B establishments when traveling. We have been to Taos before and have stayed in other sweet little places. Decided to give Dreamcatcher a try . The Adobe rooms were cute/comfortable, but I would not call this establishment a true bed and breakfast. The breakfast was exactly the same for the four days we stayed there, consisting of a small soufflé cup of eggs, a quarter cup of fruit, and a small store-bought croissant, orange juice, coffee…no other options, such as granola, cereal, yogurt, toast, etc.! Every B&B we have stayed in has a different breakfast menu every morning that is delicious with a variety of breakfast options, such as pancakes, waffles, sausage , omelets, oatmeal etc. Not this place! And when I inquired if there was any more because my husband sometimes likes a little bit extra, I was told “nope that’s it!” We also had some issues with the fireplace. We had a fireplace at home and after following the instructions on how to open the flue, light the fire that was already prepared with real wood, the smoke alarm still went off! It took us many minutes to shut off the fire alarm, using a chair to stand on. And the tiny refrigerator in the room, even with the setting set to cold temperature number two, still froze everything that we put in there. All of it very annoying…. Too bad as the place is charming, beautiful gardens, in a good location, etc., but We probably won’t stay here again …
