"Booked for kumano kodo, was a good stay and had very good first impressions. I liked their shuttle bus. Lots of options and made traveling around easier. Staff member “RYU” was particularly an amazing part of the experience. She made sure we were comfortable. I loved the room and it felt like a very traditional experience. Only thing I disliked was the water in the hot spring. It was not something you could dig, and the “hot spring” (outdoor) had a lot of sediment from dead leaves that made it feel a bit dirty."

"Ryujin Onsen is one of Japan's three most famous hot springs known for their beautiful women, so we came to experience it. Our room didn't have a shower, so we had to go directly to the public bath. The hot spring itself was wonderful; the surface felt very smooth. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style, and the food was quite good."

"The facilities and cleanliness were excellent, but because it's so new, there was still a strong smell of renovation. I had emailed ahead to inform them I'd be arriving late, and received a reply saying it was absolutely fine. However, upon arrival, the front desk was completely unstaffed, there were insects everywhere, and no code was provided to open the door to the self-service counter. Eventually, the Trip.com customer service actively contacted staff, and after waiting 25 minutes, I finally got the code for the front desk door. Only then could I self-check-in and get the room code. There was no other assistance throughout the whole process. I genuinely don't recommend this place for late arrivals."

"I had a very comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the staff were polite and attentive, which made me feel at ease. The location is a little far from the city center, so getting around sometimes took some time, but on the other hand, it was nice to be able to relax in a quiet environment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a peaceful stay. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay."

"I come here every year for 3 days, but you need to drive in, which might be inconvenient for people from mainland China. However, there's now a direct bus to the guesthouse entrance, which is great. If you're just looking to relax and enjoy the hot springs, this place is fantastic, and you can also visit Mount Koya on the way. I've uploaded the bus schedule."

"The location is excellent; the hotel shuttle bus from the entrance of Hongu Taisha Shrine provides quick access. The hotel is a standard Japanese onsen hotel; although it's a bit dated, it doesn't feel old. After a day of hiking the Kumano Kodo's Nakaheji route, soaking in the hot springs at the hotel was incredibly relaxing. A stay here is a must-do – the dinner and breakfast are very plentiful and are some of the best onsen meals I've had in recent years. The best onsen hotel near Hongu Taisha Shrine on the Kumano Kodo – highly recommended!"
