Paradise Tourist Park

The park is in a great location. Facilities a bit dated but OK and the sites are a little tight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall enjoyed our stay

We stayed in a Riverview cabin, beautiful spot right next to the lovely river. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. It was very comfortable; the beds were lovely especially with electric blankets in the winter chill, I very much appreciated them as did the kids. The park is in a great location, with the shops near by and you can walk up the main street to lots more shops. It is a short walk to a great park so if you need to wear the kids out that helps. Highly recommend.

Cannot fault this caravan park, very clean and tidy, so close to the Big Golden Guitar , the Country Hall of Fame and Motorcycle Museum and also the shopping centre. I can't rate the rooms as we had our caravan, but we will definately stay there again when up that way .

Having stayed here for several long periods since June 2021 I made a complaint about lack of weekend cleaning. The owner confronted me in front of several couples near at our van. She stood within 1ft of me and tried to intimidate me. It was very unprofessional how she treated me. She then returned with a credit and told my husband we had to leave next morning and never return. She also applied that to my son who had stayed with his boys in a cabin twice in the last few weeks. We are both 70 year old and couldn’t believe her attitude. She only needed to say she was sorry we were unhappy and would deal with it. Our neighbours were disgusted with her.

We were somewhat disappointed with our time here, which was week 2 of the Country Music Festival. We were in the overflow area and felt somewhat isolated from the facilities and ambience normally found in a Big 4 Park. Really, all we had was a patch of grass and limited amenities (though they were adequate) We were very disappointed that the park offered no entertainment whatsoever during our stay (other smaller parks had local entertainment daily), no food vans or BBQ get together, nothing! Generators were allowed in our area for 8 hours, fair enough people have to charge their batteries when camping off grid but our neighbour (and others) had them on all afternoon whilst they sat in air conditioned comfort whilst we endured the non stop noise, there was no peaceful happy hour until they left for their evening out. I think this should be capped at 2 hours Max each day. It was very disappointing that rubbish was not sorted. There was not even a separate area for 10c bottles or cans. This was a missed opportunity for charity and such a terrible waste to go in the mini skip which was all that was available. All in all I would probably choose a different camp site next trip.

Paradise caravan park. We attend the Tamworth Country Music Festival which runs for 10 days. The Tamworth Country Music Festival is an annual Australian music festival held for 10 days from Friday to Sunday in mid to late January each year, sometimes including Australia Day, in Tamworth, New South Wales. The management of the park told us we had to pay a minimum of 14 nights an addition $304 a total of $1074. I can understand paying a minimum stay but not in addition of the 10 days of the festival and at the full rate! We heard from others staying in the park they had been coming here for 20 years and got a discount rate on the nights that weren't the nights of the festival. We didn't arrive until the day after the festival started. We found we were put in a very, very hot location no shade at all. But we were put close to the amenities. We booked 9 months in advance and we were told then we had to pay for minimum stay of 14 nights. The park is in a good location but disappointed in needing to pay $309 more than we should have or at the very least a discounted rate. We attended many paid events and ate out everyday and every meal. We certainly supported the community ie accomodation, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The people of the town were very hospitable and it was a well run caravan park and event. Our only gripe was the additional days stay we didn't need outside of the festival. Couldn't get our deposit back either $20 for the 2 bathroom keys. We weren't told you needed to do that the night before you left - but then how were we to use the bathroom!!!
