We had many choices of hotels in Tallinn and were very happy with selecting the Schossle. It lives up to the Leading Hotels of the World standards and we were very comfortable. We selected the lowest rate room and if I did this over again, I might go for a higher grade only because the category we chose lacked any tea/coffee making equipment. But the quiet charm and luxurious bedding were all plusses which led me to giving this highest marks. One note, there is no elevator but the staff placed our bags in our room once it was ready. The breakfast is excellent. There are a couple items on the menu which come with a surcharge but they were well worth it. Otherwise, the selection of items which have no surcharge were excellent, as well. I would have no hesitation to stay here again.

A wonderful hotel in magnificent Tallinn. The rooms are beautifully decorated with taste and the food was exquisitely prepared. The staff is attentive and courteous. Great location in the historic old town near the sites. Everything was perfect!

This small, quiet hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the old town. Staff, are very helpful, keen to engage and interested in their guests. Breakfast in the cellar is excellent and weather permitting, the courtyard garden is a wonderful place to relax after a day's sightseeing. One evening, we ate dinner at the hotel and I can honestly say that the venison is the best we have ever tasted. The only cautionary note I would sound is that if you are not comfortable with steep spiral stone steps, avoid the first floor rooms in the garden view annexe.

Housed in a building dating back to the 14th century (!!) Hotel Schlossle is an absolute dream! Definitely the type of place a princess would have stayed in! Old Town Tallinn is such a magical and incredibly well-preserved medieval village. And Hotel Schlossle is everything you could want and more. From the amazing front desk staff who took such good care of me, to my room that overlooked a beautiful courtyard and had a huge window seat that I worked from every night to the breakfast that was 5-star all the way! I received a one-hour hot tub session with my reservation and let me tell you, sitting in a bubbling hot tub, out under the stars in mid-winter Tallinn was something i will never forget. The kindness of the staff here was really impressive. I wish I could have stayed here for a full week or longer! This hotel is absolutely fabulous and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is planning a trip to Tallinn, Estonia!

Whilst I understand the history of this hotel & its hard balance 'age' with contemporary design I did find a few things a bit strange. First we were in a first floor Garden Room where we had to climb very steep & uneven step heights. At our age it would have nice to know this before booking. The room decor needs some TLC. However we enjoyed our stay & the staff were very nice. Also excellent breakfast.
