Grand Pleasure Spring Hotel

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days for a layover returning back to the USA. We wanted something different and affordable, and this was it!! We loved the idea of the personal hot spring tub and did not mind the small room at all. Cleanliness I rated a two do to the amount of water damage and mold in the room. While we didnt make a big fuss of it at the property do to the language barrier and our need to visit the hospital imediatley after our check in. It did not seem to bother our health but wasjust ugly to look at and worrisome for those who are sensitive. I only remembered to take these two photos of the mold:/ but the ceiling in the bedroom had significant water damage and mold in difierent parts of the room. Althought the air filters in the room were cleaned or new! Location I rated a 4 because while I love the quite area and beauitful park right next door. It is up a huge hill and public transportation drops you at the bottom. This leave a 12 ish minute walk up the steep hill. While we didnt mind this, those who are chosing to visit, be prepared or use uber! Service & Amenities 5 stars, little engliah spoken by staff but I dont expect people to conform to my needs. Hot Spring tub was amazing. They cleaned the room up well while we were out!

service was pretty good - check in was fuss free price was extremely reasonable - booked in summer for less than 1k ntd - our room was priced at 8k ntd (prob peak) room was decently spacious, toilet was great, hot spring bath was super easy to use as well location was mid… - gotta walk up the park which was on a hill and it was tough in the summer

Not too far from Xinbeitou station, around 12 minutes walk. Close to a lot of attractions like the Beitou Thermal Valley and Hot Spring Museum. There is a 711 near Xinbeitou station. There are a few food stalls near the thermal valley. In the hotel, there are some snacks and drinks. Unfortunately, on the day I was there the lemon tea/juice dispenser was broken. There are bottled water inside the room. The room I booked was quite small but ok for me because it was just me. Might be small for two people but can work.

The room is spacious and reasonably clean. The service is really good. The staff was kind and can't speak English very well. The hotels location is not far from the city center. and tourists attractions. The downside is there is no parking space, but you can park the car on the designated areas on the roads.

The room was big and spacious, with an attached bathtub. Can save some money spending sgd20 to go for a private or public spa bath if you choose to live in this hotel.

An outstanding location, all the major sights are in a walking distance. You will reach the hotel from the station in a few minutes. So it's up to you to plan your day full of excitement from a convenient location.

pros: - facility, receptionist is good cons: - no public pool. So you just have a pool in your room, which is not valuable at all if considering to travel a long way to a hotspring village - there is a water stain on the floor of room 703, which I believe that it is lasting for a long time and they didnt fix it, still use for renting. - They promise to change room or at least add a tower there to "temporarily fix" it but none of this option are made

A little further away from MRT, about 10min walk. However the in-suite hot spring is nice. The decor and overall vibe of the place is a little older, but the convenience of in-suite hot spring makes up for that; as well as how close it is to a few sightseeing spots.

It appears to be a renovated old hotel. The exterior features a Western style that resonates with the old-fashioned interior design, expressing a sense of classic luxury. I assume it must have been quite popular when it first opened. The room’s interior preserves its elegant, traditional style, and the maintenance is impressively well done. The hot spring bathtub easily deserves a 10/10, and the quality of the hot spring water is guaranteed. That said, old buildings inevitably come with certain drawbacks. For example, the sewage system can be relatively loud, which may be an issue for guests who require a very quiet environment to sleep. Fortunately, the soundproofing was decent—at least in my room. Overall, considering the reasonable price, there is little to complain about. Although the location is not particularly close to the station, it is near the fantastic Thermal Valley and many scenic hiking routes, which is definitely a plus. 🙂
