"Spent a night in a lovely comfortable bed with decent breakfast in morning. Main downside was a very poor electric shower with low water pressure and erratic temperature control. Some of the other fixtures and fittings need attention as well - TV sound distorted, bathroom extractor fan doesn't work properly, bathroom mirror appeared to have a built-in light but it didn't work or wasn't connected up. This was the ground floor room at the front. Was also surprised to see in the online listing that the place has a tennis court and a billiards room, perhaps it does but I didn't see info in the room about where they were."

"Kaunis paikka. Rakastin kuinka vanha ja hyvin ylläpidetty se oli. Huoneita oli hyvin tilava ja sisustettu hyvin. He eivät palvelleet illallista sinä yönä, mutta suosittelivat junaasema lähellä ja se oli erinomainen. Söimme kuitenkin aamiaista siellä seuraavana aamuna ja se oli erittäin hyvä! Rakastan pitkää oleskelua täällä, koska voimme vain jäädä yöksi."

"We had a lovely stay at The Shore Hotel and couldn't fault it. The service was excellent from start to finish, and every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming - nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was delicious, and the whole hotel felt warm, cosy and beautifully looked after. You can really see the attention to detail in everything they do, which made our stay feel that little bit more special. We'd definitely recommend The Shore Hotel to anyone visiting the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!"

"We stayed here twice on our holiday and on both occasions the accommodation was fantastic, the ambiance was chilled, relaxed and welcoming. From Findlay and Amy on FOH greeting you on arrival, the rooms were excellent - themed but with lots of quirky touches which drew your attention and made you smile (think Giraffes)! The food - wow! Our breakfast was great, with highlight being the omelette, so good! Dinner was on a different level and having the chef, Douglas, introduce himself and the dessert was great touch. This is a young guy with skills and he is a great asset for the company! I would thoroughly recommend staying here (it even has pet-friendly cottages to stay in when travelling with your furry friends)!"

"We stayed in the No 10 Guesthouse for 4 nights last week. What a find!!! Our room was spacious, comfy bed, and beautifully furnished! The continental breakfast was exactly what we needed. Everyone we met at the guesthouse were very friendly. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone considering visiting Tain. The on-street parking was a huge bonus too."
