Great location and very helpful staff. Also had a bar located at the hotel.

Adequate basic room for couple traveling. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Appears to be close to a number of shops, restaurants, etc. We were just passing through the area and so did not explore anything about the area. Would stay again.

Just got back from my stay yesterday and I must say there were somethings that impressed me and others that didn't, a mixed bag of sorts. Upon arrival I noticed that the outside of the building was large and appeared new. I made my way to the front desk where I met a very nice lady who made the check in process super quick and easy. She informed me of the hours of the restaurant, pool, fitness center, and gave me clear directions to my room. I got to my room on the first floor which in this hotel is basically the second. You go up one flight from the front desk. It smelled clean, and looked immaculate. I loved that it had multiple mirrors not just in the bathroom, a back light for the bathroom mirror, and a safe. The room also had plug ins galore!! If you needed USB it was there! Just an ordinary electric socket plenty of those too! My Fire Stick was a breeze to hook up to the large flat screen and the wifi wooked perfectly. No interruptions no buffering. Once it came time to sleep though I noticed a running toilet, it was noisy outside, and the bed was super firm. I had a hard night. Im sure they would have accommodated me with a room change but it wouldnt have changed the bed or noise issue so I just put up with it all. When I checked out the next morning another nice lady helped me and I told her I hadn't slept well. She apologized and although she didnt offer anything I didnt expect anything either. I remarked jokingly that I am sure for my one complaint there are probably 10 other guest who thought it was comfortable. I'd love to come back but what's the point of having a beautiful room and a clean facility when you can't sleep.

I travel a lot, and this HIE is similar to all others. The location is just what I wanted, by the highway with three restaurants right across the street. The room was clean, but clearly showing its age—it could use a refresh. The desk clerk was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. Oddly, this is the only HIE I’ve stayed in that has a full restaurant. (Not sure what “express” means in this case.) So there is no free breakfast of any kind—something I’ve come to expect from HIE.

The hotel was fine. The problem was someone smashed my passenger side window. Based upon the reaction of the staff, it seemed like this was a fairly common occurrence. Fortunately, a mobile glass service was able to come and replace the window ($350) or it would have been a cold ride home. It would have been helpful if the staff had mentioned the risk and gave some suggestions on where to park.

We spent the night because we were visiting the University of Puget Sound, and it was a convenient location. The room fit our needs, but I don’t think I could stay for more than one night. It’s really basic here - including their restaurant. Dinner menu was the typical pizza and stuff, and breakfast was stuff that they thawed out and heated. One easy thing they could do is require a dress code at their restaurant, because frankly restaurant employees wearing T-shirts just doesn’t seem professional. The room itself was ok - bed, basic flat screen TV, small but functioning bathroom with a shower curtain. The shower water seeped to the bathroom floor with water, but easy enough to wipe up… Just not excited about this place.

We stayed overnight and had a good experience. Front desk check-in was friendly and efficient. The guestroom had a Keurig, mini fridge and microwave. The king bed was comfortable. The bathroom clean but water pressure was not strong (3rd floor). Breakfast is made to order in the downstairs cafe. Food was pretty good but was not included in the standard room rate. Their fitness center has a few standard pieces of cardio equipment and dumbbells. However, there were no towels or wipes. They also don't have dumbbells under 15 pounds, and no mirrors for watching your form. There was ample parking. While the location of the hotel is easy to access from the highway, we did not feel comfortable walking around at night. We walked to a nearby restaurant in the evening and passed many people who looked like they were homeless and/or on *****. Saw the same thing the next morning. And, the businesses along the road all had fences up and some had barbed wire.

We had a great experience. It was a one-night stay and we weren’t in the room that long. Not a lot of frills or character, but it was clean, the room was spacious, and we encountered no problems with customer service, noise, temperature, or anything else. The location was convenient to I-5 and the price was right, too. All in all, I care most about a room being exactly as advertised, and this was.
