I was a very late arrival - after midnight, and the owner of the hotel was very accommodating. It's an old hotel (perhaps 100 years old) with all the features of an old property - wooden staircase, high ceilings etc. There is a basic small room with shared bathrooms and parking on-site. Happy to recommend this property.

Lovely owner, kind , generous & very personable.Good location, comfortable & clean.Stayed there 20 years ago.Same friendly service from the owner.Had some concern with the maintenance guy. He was asking too many personal questions.My last Sat. morning there he was acting very strange, had dark sun glasses on & ranting about Middle Eastern people.At the same time he was punching wildly at the air.Accidently got a pic of this.He attributed his behavior to drinking a couple of cups of coffee.I was concerned it was a bit creepyy experience. He did seem concerned at times for my balance issues.I think I would stay there again.

The Royal Hotel is an experience that everyone should indulge in. The place is teeming with history and class, and adds a touch of the golden age of travel to most modern mundane holidays! Will be coming back again and again! Ps Carmen Spino is a wonderful host.
