We are currently on day 5 of a 10 day holiday … yes the entertainment is so interesting that I’m writing this review instead! Food - it’s obviously very local and not at all geared for international guests. Nothing seems to go together, and I honestly think they pick the first 10 bags they find in the freezer and cook those, whatever they may be. There are more cucumbers and tomatoes than I ever wished to see, there are wholes trays of each at every meal, including breakfast. Spaghetti bolognaise doesn’t have any meat in it, the breakfast consists of dried out sausage and bacon. If you enjoy pancakes, and a long wait you are in luck as that’s that only thing you can guarantee. Most the food is tasteless mush filled with unappetising food. Pool - This is really lovely and the saving grace of this holiday for us. Our kids are 10 and 12 and very capable swimmers - I can only thank god for that because the lifeguard seems to try and sit as far away from the pool as possible. He wanders around at a snails pace, there are 2 pools, 1 approx 1m deep and the other 1.7m. He sits at the side of the 1m metre pool with all of his equipment at the top of a set of stairs on the other side of the pool. If you were drowning, you would be dead before he even got his kit ready. That is provided he hasn’t gone to breakfast/lunch. The only thing he seems to do is to put some of the umbrellas down towards the end of his shift. The pool itself is filthy, when you go into the water you can see all the rubbish floating in the water. Entertainment - it’s woeful! The singer only knows around 6 songs from the 60’s, which are repeated every night, when he can be bothered, as most the time he puts on a backing track and disappears. There’s a games room which looks really good until you realise there’s no balls for the mini golf, the table tennis room is locked, the pin ball machine is broke and the table football is advertised as 1lev but is actually 2lev - I don’t mind paying, and have, but the price on the sign is not the price they charge and when asked we were just told that the sign must be out of date. The entertainment is over by 9pm, so it’s a very long night. The pool bar is the only place open after 9, with no real entertainment other than playing music off your own phone. If you are disabled then I would re-consider. My dad has COPD and has a scooter to get around, but then when we arrived, we quickly realised that you cannot what anywhere using it - luckily they are on the ground floor so have managed to get around without it, but if you can’t walk then this would be a big issue. There are ramps in reception, but nowhere else in the hotel. My brother in law is blind and today all of the tables in the restaurant have been moved so he couldn’t get in and out without difficulty - he did it, but with a big grumble from the singer as his equipment was being knocked by his white cain. The waiters and bar staff are amazing and nothing is too much troubl
