Pet Friendly - Walk to the Warm October Waters of the Gulf, Cozy Home

We've been to Surfside a few times, but this place was a blessing! When we first walked it the whole house was chilled and looked even more amazing than the listing pictures. It's an amazing place to book for a beach get away! Definitely will book again in the future!

This rental was very nice close to the beach and the neighbors were friendly as well. The rental was very clean and well kept would highly recommend renting from them.

Enjoyed our stay as much as the 1st time will most definitely be booking again!

Caisson cottage The only reason I marked cleanliness as a 4 was due to the dishes... most were dirty or were rusted. Other than that, the house was nice and in a good spot. The owner accommodated us by letting us check in early. Communication was very prompt!

Pros 1. The cleaners seemed to do a good job. The house was pretty clean. The only thing we noticed was trash under the couch and between the couch cushions and the dishes in the cupboards were dirty/rusty. 2. The beds and couches are very comfortable. The furniture worked well for our family with the bunk beds. We did need more bedding. The beds only had a sheet and thin bedspread. Cons 1. The water quality in this home/area is terrible. The water smells very bad and leaves an odor on your skin. The property has what looks like a water softener system, but either it is not working or is not enough. We did not feel like we were able to get a good shower the whole time and had to brush our teeth with bottled water. 2. Much of the home needs repair, the doors won’t fully open from hitting the floor, a cabinet door is missing, lots of the fixtures are rusted, the deck has nails sticking up and needs paint/repair, paint is peeling from the walls in the bathroom, etc. 3. It is also not “near” the beach. It’s at least a 1/2 to 2/3 of a mile walk. So we had to drive to the beach. Overall, it met our needs but we were not that comfortable. We would not recommend this rental unless the water issue is resolved for sure and many repairs are made.

Quick Trip! Great home for a quick stay in the Surfside area! Not too far from the water or local eateries/ businesses. Host was able to accommodate a later checkout time as well. Overall very pleased :)
