iHotel Sunny Beach

Don't get me wrong the accommodation is nice area is great. The food in comparison to some other AI is OK. The drinks on the other hand are appalling. The lager is served in miniature plastic cups or small glasses and is a measly 3%. There is no choice of spirits, local or international. They offer a few IHOTEL special cocktails that are disgusting but you can opt for what you usually get offered AI lsewhee at a premium cost. Malibu for example is an extra 6 lev with not even a local alternative. I'm not big drinker but really disappointed with the choice on offer. It is my first time in Bulgaria, but personally I don't believe the staff are as attentive as many other countries I have visited previously. I am hoping it gets better as the week progresses, fingers crossed.

The hotel is really clean and there’s people always walking around all day and night cleaning floors and toilets around communal areas. The room look exactly as they do on the pictures very clean and modern. The restaurant is clean and the staff are lovely however the food seems to be the same all the time. The entertainment staff and kids club is really good they go above and beyond to help you have a good holiday. All in all the staff here including entertainment are lovely polite people who speak very well English. I’d definitely stay here again.

Overall the hotel is clean and as you would expect for all inclusive. If you want a lively environment then this hotel is well placed being 200m from the beach and the promenade leading to the really busy area! The pool area is nice with 3 different level pools and two medium water slides and small one for toddlers, and plenty of sunbeds (but be aware, the usual sunbed reservation crew are in operation!) Although 'samey' the food is varied with a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can get a bit boring but it's always the same trying to please this many people. The restaurant staff are always making sure it's clean, tidy and ready for the next guest. There's plenty of places to eat out. The drinks, menu for All Inclusive is very poor. The beer is like fizzy water and most nights I popped to the local supermarket where you can get a decent 5% lager for 1.80L (about 80p!). The spirits selection is also limited. We was quite surprised having had an alternative to everything in previous TUI hotels. The cleaners do not replace the bedding, just make the beds, and even though we asked for it to be swept, this didn't seem to be the case as we came in to find the floor still quite dirty. The hotel in general is constantly being cleaned and mopped though to a good standard The hotels website had a video advertising a section on the beach with iHotel umbrellas and sun loungers, but this is NOT the case and even the TUI Rep had no idea why this wasnt updated.. You have to pay for use of those on the beach. Overall the staff here are friendly and helpful but there are some here who almost seem put out by your request for a drink!!! I'd heard nothing but good things about Bulgaria and how friendly they are, but some of the staff here are downright miserable! Animation staff are brilliant! One of the positive things about the hotel because they seem to remember everyone's name which makes things feel personal, and they are constantly working to get people involved in the activities. Well done to them! (Some hotel staff should take note!) I would not be rushing back to iHotel, but to be fair, we never usually return to the same place anyway.

Amazing hotel, spotlessly clean and comfortable, downside was the food in the restaurant, same every time the snack bar was way better but that closes at 6pm so if your away with children there's nothing for them to eat unless you go for a late evening meal.

Our first time in Bulgaria and we will definitely be back, and to this hotel too. IHotel met all our needs. Room spacious and contemporary. Bed huge and comfortable. Staff friendly, attentive and efficient. Plenty of sunbeds and though the pools would benefit from repainting they served their purpose well. Food was plentiful and varied though some could be a little cool at times - warm plates would solve a lot of this problem!

A nice hotel, right from checkin the staff seem pleasant, we were shown to our room as I think it can be a bit of a maze. Hotel restaurant is good, brilliant selection of food. Drinks are good too. Pool bar & snacks are enjoyable (pool food varies a little each day which is nice) Pool area is a little tired, pool is painted and some of that paint is chipping off in places. Access to water slides for kids is a little unsafe I’d say, uneven slabs on the floor. For a hotel that is constantly cleaned by staff which is great, I’m surprised this area seems to be ignored
