Dit Majestic Beach Resort

Had a lovely week at the Majestic Hotel at the end of September. Nice clean room, enjoyed the pool & entertainment. Good location. Was going to book this hotel again on my return home. Very disappointed to find items of clothing had been stolen from my case during my stay.

Got a very good deal as a solo traveller from Jet2 at the end of season. High season it would feel different but it was spacious and peaceful at the end of Sept. Hotel only about 30 minutes coach transfer from airport with stops on route. Hotel is huge & the rooms are spacious and well presented if dated. Very clean and fresh. Bring your own pillow if you are sensitive to having just the right density etc but bed very comfortable. Usual buffet all-inclusive set up but very tasty & varied for a meat-eater. Best I’ve experienced for many years. 24 hour bar offering quite good quality booze (being abused by the small number of Brits who let us down) and you have to hunt to find a smoke free area to sit (maybe I just got unlucky and found every other Brit had a fag on the go). Two huge pools. Unheated and spotless! Lovely golden beach at the end of the hotel grounds. Lovely to get the basics for free (safe in room, sunbed on beach etc) rather than being squeezed for more money as I found in Turkey etc. Bring cash and change it at the hotel or along sunny beach as the atm’s are expensive. Tip everywhere as the staff/people are so accommodating. Acceptable tip is 5 lev to 10 lev. Resort itself is one long beach with it getting busier as you head down from this hotel (quiet up at this end) and there’s no shortage of tat shops and clothing. Taxi’s were plentiful and weren’t crooks (but agree a price) and there’s a pretend steam train beachfront transport service that pretty much matched a taxi if there were more than two of you. I’m already looking out for a deal to come back here in 2025 for a week’s sun.

Lovely hotel, very clean, lovely staff. Pool area was fantastic. the entertainment was decent enough. Great location. The staff were super helpful with directions and recommendations. Rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need. Food was a bit repetitive but still very nice and tasty. Limited choice of cocktails, but the staff would make up any drink on request. Points to note: The Asian and Italian restaurant get booked up very quickly, and the hotel gives you little information on this when you check in. So my advice is to book these the day you arrive for the week, there is a member of staff that takes reservations outside the restaurant between 10am-12pm. Cleaning staff can be very noisy within the corridors in the morning, as the walls are quite thin. Overall it was a great stay in a lovely hotel. I would recommend.
