Diamond Hotel - All Inclusive

We stayed here about 3 years ago was OK except bar area.. so small and dirty.. we booked again and everything was pretty much awful.. aircon was absolute rubbish and mozzies were definitely having their all inclusive on us.. the food was cold but for instance the hot food was out at 10:50 one day when the dinner doesn't start till 12pm.. no wonder it was cold.. and the flies was unbelievable around the food.. staff didn't really care.. one lady asked where the bacon was at 8:30 he said all gone none left.. breakfast didn't finish till 10am.. what ever was left from night before was made into a soup for both meals next day.. room aas nice and spacious and the hotel itself is clean (except bar and the grumpy old git behind it) lager ran out frequently very watered down too.. we had to eat out a lot couldn't face the repetitive day after day.. pizza was nice but made first thing in the morning and flies all over them icecream was very nice..cleaners was lovely.. overall pay that bit extra and go somewhere nicer.. wouldn't come back..shame cos location is perfect .

the entire week long trip was a disaster. would not recommend this hotel to anyone. on checking in (all flights arrive after 2200)....there was no water / drinks / food avilable...only one person at the desk with 30 guests checking in.....we were herded like cattle...told to sign the papers and leave asap. the hotel was clean, and this was the only positive thing about it. The biggest drawback was the food.....it was INEDIBLE !!! cold, and had no taste at all. THE SAME FOOD WAS REUSED EVERY DAY (IN SOME OTHER FORM)...terrible. even the breakfast had cold food....the scrambled eggs were "bluiesh" and overcooked. sallads were plentiful, but tasteless....my wife survived on tomatoes and feta cheese the whole week. there were signs all over for "fines" ....really unnerving filling water from the dispenser - 100 leva fine / carrying more than 2 drinks 50 leva / coming to the dining room in flipflops 50 leva, sharing meals 100 leva.. soft ice cream machine out of order 3 days out of 5. the worst part was that NOONE understood what we were saying, and didnt care. really irritating. the evening shows were quite good (except for "elvis" )

The hotel is located in the center of Sunny Beach and is 100 meters away from the sea. My room was big and clean. We stayed on the third floor, street view. You could hear the traffic but only with door opened. I did not have problems sleeping. There weren't that many drunken people screaming either. The whole staff was friendly and communicative. I had no problem with check-in, the procedure was very standard. The food was way better than all the reviews. There was variety of meat dishes and vegetarian options such as risotto and pasta. The afternoon snack bar had very decent pizza, too. The drinks at the AI bar were okay, we just preferred getting mixed drinks outside the hotel, so we didn't use it that much. Overall we had a great time in the Diamond Hotel and was a good value for the money we paid.

The hotel offers comfort and controversial relaxation Fully corresponds to a three-star hotel. The 4 stars appear to be set under understated conditions. Which is not a good business strategy - the "four star" customers will be turned away (I think this actually happens), even though the hotel offers prices for 3 stars. A better strategy, in my opinion, is to say - OK, we have a very good or excellent 3-star hotel, welcome.

Hotel from hell! English People listen to the reviews, this is truly the worst hotel ever. The rooms are so basic, no hairdryer, no kettle, no iron, the bed sheets have seen better days, they're well overdue for throwing away. The room cleaners are quite friendly The so called hot food is disgusting, it is stone cold, and they know it, that's why there's a microwave in the restaurant. The fruit is limited and harder than a cricket ball! They whip your plate away if you nip for a drink to go with your meal, and they start to mop the floor around you whilst you're still eating. It's noisy at night mainly from the traffic on the main road. I will never ever return to this hotel. I concur with the negative reviews, they are true!!!

Check in was fine and quick. However when we got to the room we were disappointed that we overlooking the main road and we were directly above the cafe bar which was very loud until early hours of the morning as it didn't shut until 4am. We didn't get any sleep and ended up trying to sleep in bathroom to knock out some of the loud noise. A sign in reception stated no tolerance to noise after 11pm however this was not enforced as guests were drunk and disorderly all night we had to tell some to calm down as we couldn't sleep as we are older we needed some sleep. Another sign in the restraunt stated no filling water bottles or 100 lev fine however we saw people everyday filling these up and no staff ever said anything or enforced fines so for guests abiding by the rules this is unfair. Food was stone cold nothing for English to eat all every english family was angry at this as it was all catered for Russians only, their was a microwave but this was dirty and not cleaned for 4 days until a guest asked for it to be cleaned which is unhygienic and not good we ended up eating out everyday because of the awful food. Their was rules about only 2 drinks per person but multiple times people were getting 4 or 5 drinks at a time also not enforced or stopped by staff. I believe older people should have rooms separate to where the younger party people are given to help older people sleep. Overall sunny beach nice but hotel poor and no more then 2 stars I won't be coming back.
