Candlewood Suites Sumner - Puyallup Area

Stayed at Candlewood from 6/15/2023 to 6/18/2023 (original plan was to depart 6/19/2023. Between 10 pm 6/17 and 10 am 6/18, the back right passenger window was smashed. Tools, computer, and personal papers were stolen. Professional job- door was not opened. On the following Wednesday received a notice from Microsoft - "A user from Russia/Moscow just logged into your account from a new device”. While duct taping the window in the parking lot, three separate individuals stopped and volunteered that break-ins were a nightly occurrence in this parking lot. One out of town businessperson said their supervisor's rental car was stolen the first night of their stay. When I reported to the front desk, I was told they would make a note. The Sumner Police department is closed on Sunday. Online reporting with an expectation of a response in 5 days. 5 days later I have a tracking number, an incident number, and a request number. It is clear why crime is a nightly occurrence in this parking lot. Incidentally the front desk gives you a bright colored paper to put on your dash for guests parking in the lot. Apparently, it makes it easier for the thieves to avoid robbing the locals. DO NOT STAY IN THE CANDLEWOOD SUITES OR THE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS in Sumner.

We have stayed here twice and both times have been great. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Only complaint would be that our room slept 4 but there were only 2 plates, cups, utensils. The employees were helpful and friendly. The hotel is right by a Starbucks, gas station 7-11 and a Big Foot Java. It was a convenient off/on the freeway. I highly recommend this hotel.

I checked into candlwood suites the. Lets say it wae on the b27th of sept. Now to my reveiw. Trevor the motel manader has been nothing more than exellent. I seiously do not know what kind of training they have here. But what ever it is Trevor has it down pat. The whole crew here at Candlewood suites. Has been So very helpfull from day one.I just want to say thank you IHG corprate for putting in my mind The best motel stay I have ever had. Wonderful place. Lobby is nice. We were very warmly greeted by Desiree. She was extremely helpful throughout our 2 day stay! Nice big room with kitchen facilities and full fridge. A few negatives. There are no ice machines in the hotel...instead they have ice makers in the fridge. Personally, I really prefer an ice machine. There was no real table to eat at, only the typical hotel desk. Also there was only one chair (besides a recliner). And lastly, there was no pool.
