Super 8 by Wyndham Sturgeon Bay

Go somewhere else. Filthy. Sheets and blankets were ripped..pillows were not standard size (throw pillow size).missing dresser drawer. Carpet ripped by doorway. Out of most snacks and drinks in machines and wouldn't take dollars...had to go to front desk.

Overall our stay was good. Friendly staff, room was clean, breakfast was adequate but could have been better. Our only real negative was all electric outlets were covered up by furniture. To plug in Cpap machine, computer, charge phones etc. we had to pull out furniture and unplug a light.

Was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was clean & and we had what we needed. My daughter made the reservation & wasn't really what I would have chosen, but it was good. Special thank you to the breakfast personnel. We were a little late today, but they accommodated us. When we left, they helped us with our luggage! Thank you for the good experience.

We arrived well before check in time. Just stopped by to let them know we were in the area. They said they would contact us via phone number on our reservation. Never received a call. Room was ok as it was only someplace to rest and shower the toilet was so low to the ground even with the handicap grab bars getting off the toilet was a challenge. The shower was ok but boy stepping back out was like a 6-8” reach to the floor and no grab bar at the front side to hold onto while attempting to get out of tub. No tissues in room and shampoo was what was left over from previous guest. Less than a half bottle of shampoo to use. The real shock of our stay was my husband witnessed 2 people climbing out of the window from a room on the first floor on the main building. One gentleman climbed out then the other handed him all their possessions and placed in vehicle. Then once all bags were handed out the Second Gentleman moved curtain over to climb out then reached back in to pull curtain closed and carefully shut the window. Got into vehicle and left.

the hotel needs more attention to detail. There needs to be plugs in bathtub and sink drains; listening to guests about booking details. We specified first floor because of knee issues and even after calling to confirm a few days before arrival and assured we were on first floor, upon arrival we were told there was no room available and were assigned 2nd floor!

Don’t stay here. Even to save a little money. It’s not worth it. Everything was nasty, the people at the front desk hid to avoid helping, rooms dirty, pool bottom is slimy, bad eggs at their breakfast, overall I’d say the place is more like section 8 than a thing called super 8.

Good budget hotel but don't stay here if you expect more. Air conditioner disassembled laying in the hallway. Couldn't decide if this hotel was slowing improving or slowing going downhill. Price was good but the appeal could be improved.

Staff was in hiding, could never find anyone for help. Room did not have the basic items you would expect. The high-speed internet ded not exsist had to use the hotspot from my phone. The only plus was that it was a pretty central location.

We have stayed here before and it was acceptable….a year later…omg! Terrible. We were told at 2:50 check in wasn’t til 3:00 so we literally just stood there and waited. Our room was 106…we walked into the smell of cat pee, smelly feet and death. We opened the window, sprayed Lysol, made coffee and tried to get rid of the smell. We left for dinner & returned to the smell being worse…there was no way we could sleep in there. And the pillows were so stained, ripped blankets, stained hairy sheets…we were ready to drive the 175 miles home!!! The very nice front desk lady with blue hair said we could move to another room (but they were supposedly 100 percent booked) Riom 118 didn’t smell, but still very dirty,..candy wrappers from the last people, hair on sheets, stained pillows…just gross. We did use the hot tub, which didn’t look very well filtered and the fans in the pool area where covered in dust & dirt. They very strictly prohibit all drinks in the poop area…totally ridiculous…it’s hot in there people need at least a plastic water bottle so they don’t pass out!!! Corporate Super 8 needs to visit this property if they want to keep Supe 8’s good reputation. Never again!
