Oh wow, what an absolute delight this Premier Inn was — if you’re into waiting in corridors and inhaling the rich aroma of damp and body odour, that is. I’ve stayed in countless Premier Inns across the UK and thought I knew what to expect. Silly me! We arrived a whole 40 minutes after check-in time — you know, that thing where your room is supposed to be ready? But no, apparently that was too much to ask. Instead, we were treated to the honour of standing in the hallway like lost sheep, watching the maid finish cleaning our room. A truly VIP experience. And once we were finally allowed in — oh joy! The smell! A perfect combination of damp walls and a bathroom that could double as a gym locker room. Truly unforgettable. Needless to say, we’re all thoroughly disappointed. We’ve never had to read reviews before booking a Premier Inn — they’ve always been reliable. But after this circus? Never again without checking. Shame on this branch.

I recently stayed in an Accessible Room with Wet Room at Premier Inn Stirling City Centre. I should start by saying every time I have been to a Premier Inn in the past the experience has been satisfying and good. But not this time. This time the cleanliness was absolutely lacking and felt underwhelming considering how much I paid for the stay. I suffer with lung problems so the amount of dust was not helpful at all. The bathroom was extremely dirty and stained especially in the shower area, meaning I was put off taking a shower the whole trip. Also there was damage on the ceiling covered with white paint that just took away the whole experience of my stay. It served its purpose but I felt majorly disappointed overall. This hotel needs some funding and love immediately cause it was not an enjoyable experience.

We booked premier inn as we wanted to sightsee over two days at stirling, I like premier inn as they usually have a high standard and are reasonably priced. But at stirling we booked an early check in for 1100hrs .... then on arrival at just after 1100hrs we were told this is subject to change and the room wasnt available... which makes planning difficult. And its frustrating when its paid for as an extra. The room was ground floor and the window was not able to be opened so there was no fresh air. And the air con worked but it was very noisy..... not the usual fan/air-conditioning noise but more of a noise like it was running water.... this was a 2 adults and 2 children so there were 3 beds and the room wasn't big enough as there was no gap between the beds and then on top of it being hot and stuffy and the loud air con unit, it made for a poor night sleep. The breakfast was very poor, no cooked food ..... as there was no chef and i felt the 'continental breakfast' was very limited. ... if we had of known this we wouldn't have booked. The best part of the stay was the evening meal. The gentleman that served us was very good, very polite and attentive. Thank you.

Dear Sir, On Friday 27 June 2025, I arrived at Premier Inn Stirling at 6.30 pm with my friend after a long train journey from London. We are both in our 80’s. Tired and hungry, we were looking forward to moving into our Premier Plus rooms, for the first of our three nights stay and finding a nice restaurant for dinner. We were welcomed at reception and given our rooms. Neither room had any toilet paper and mine smelt strongly of cigarette smoke and masking perfume. I returned to the reception desk to ask for a change of room and after a wait, was given a different room. However, when I entered this room, it was obviously already occupied, as it contained clothing and personal possessions. After another wait, I was then given a third room and was escorted to this room. With my friend’s help, I set about transferring my partially unpacked luggage, only to discover that the key card would not let me in. I returned to the reception desk, 2 floors down, and was given another card. This also failed to let me in, necessitating a further trip downstairs. The receptionist came with me and let me in with her general passkey, which did work. By now, it was getting late, so we quickly transferred some of my luggage and went out to eat. On return just after 9.30 pm, we were given 2 fresh cards, which did work, and were able to move the rest into my Room . I finally was putting stuff away in my room at 10.15 pm. Both of us were severely disrupted and were exhausted by the whole process.

Booked in for 2 nights and it was our first time staying at this premier inn. On arrival at the front entrance the rubbish bin was overflowing with rubbish and Amazon boxes and there was cigarette butts all over the ground. When we went in the lady that checked us in was very unfriendly, no info given about hotel just given room cards and directions to room. The whole of the ground floor and also our room smelt very damp and musty. Room appeared to be clean, the curtains were partially closed but we think it’s cos the curtain rail was broken! Lots of mould round window. The bathroom was clean apart from the dirt around the hand wash bottle and it had a horrible damp smell too. We went over to the restaurant at 8.50pm to see if we could get some food as we had arrived late at hotel only to be told they were no longer serving! There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant at that time. In the morning we made the mistake of going back to restaurant for breakfast and we really wish we hadn’t. It was the worst premier inn breakfast we have ever had, service was awful and the place needed a good clean especially round the tea/coffee machine area. We looked to see where the cooked breakfast was, as the menu stated unlimited hot breakfast only to be told we had to order what we want and by 10am they had already run out of a few items. The only good points was the free parking and comfy bed!!

Good location and comfortable room but the restaurant service at breakfast is appalling, incorrect orders , long wait times and no organisation, Nicola who was serving- who was keen to stress it was her first day didn’t have a clue what was going on but why was she not being trained to do her job properly- there was no management whatsoever and all the staff were rude and arrogant, a gentleman sat on the table next to us got told there was no scrambled egg left only for us to be served it five minutes later, there was nothing correct on our order , the whole experience was a shambles and not what we have come to expect from Premier Inn, if this was our first experience we would certainly think twice about using the chain again, very disappointing.
