Baymont by Wyndham Stevens Point

the kiosk check-in experience was unusual and uncomfortable. it lacked privacy for the person checking in.. I wondered where the person checking us in was located..India??? It seemed that every person prior to our check in had a new person (remotely) that was checking them in . It felt uncomfortable. The room itself was in need of repairs. The ceiling fan was missing a blade and could not operate safely. Window shear was torn. Tub drained very slowly. Basic amenities were provided and were adequate. Breakfast was up to the standard that is expected of lodging establishments. .

Gross. It seems like Baymont has gone downhill significantly in the last couple years. All of them that I have stayed at in the last couple of years have just been dirty. This one was by far the worst. I stayed here for 6 days with my son for Hockey never once was my room cleaned. in fact, nothing in this hotel was cleaned in this time. it is next to impossible to find a staff member here ever. They use the kiosk for check-in to avoid having any staff here. At one point our toilet was overflowing my husband went to go look for a plunger. he opened a janitor closet only to find a staff member sleeping on the floor inside the janitor's closet. The hot breakfast was dirty and disgusting. I made the mistake of trying to make a waffle and it ended up tasting like sourdough. everything there is just dirty and disgusting.

Bathroom floor was dirty, were not provided correct size bath towels, someone left the window open, towels had raggedy edges, mold on ceiling over shower, broken bedside light fixtures, sink had a slow leak in the cold water tap. We'll find a different place next year...

Weird check-in For some weird reason, we had to step over a balled up disgusting dirty towel on the floor when entering the hotel lobby, which was still there when we left the next morning. Check-in was on a kiosk, that you don’t see in the hotel pictures.

Adequate Maybe checking in with someone on a screen, wherever they were located, coding my own room keys, with an empty front desk is shading my view but I didn't enjoy the stay. The property felt shabby- kind of clean (if that's a thing). One room had stains on the wall with a missing chair. The bathrooms were super tiny. This property would be OK as a quick pass thru for a night, however I'd still probably stay somewhere else.

Did not like having to talk to a machine, where the person on the other end is in India. Will not be back.
