Hesperus Lodge

An absolute must for anybody wanting to relax, reset and reconnect. The lodge has everything you need to make your little escape perfect. The sound of the river, the tweeting of the abundance of birds contributes to relaxing playlist that waits for you here. Surrounded by trees and hills you are totally nestled in your own little bubble, no WiFi or phone signal to disturb you either. Everything has been thought of to help you unwind and enjoy a technology free break, from puzzles, games, cards and books. If you have a dry day (or even if it’s wet)walk down to the riverbank via the slate staircase next to lodge and enjoy the river as it passes you by spotting birds and squirrels, whatever the weather sit on the lodge decking with protection of the eaves and just enjoy natures playlist or light the fire and snuggle up, read a book or play a game but just BE because Hesperus lodge allows you to. The local village shop has all the essentials you need should you forget butter, milk, cereal bacon etc, however the wonderful Emma will pop down when you arrive with a bottle of milk in hand and a warm welcome. The Globe Inn is just down the road and is the most lovely little village pub boasting a lovely atmosphere alongside a varied menu to meet every requirement and the food is lovely. Emma is so accommodating and will even book you a table at the globe should you want her too. Already looking to book for our next little get away. Oh and if your very lucky Noo Noo the kitten may grace you with his presence (and it really is an honour) and join you as you investigate the beautiful surroundings.
