Staveley House

The Place is atrocious - dirty and absolutely run down. The Garden is Full of debris and rubbish. Im enterimg we stumbled Ober a cleaning bucket and the Hoover which has been left lying around as if to say „clean the Place yourself - we certainly did not!“ The cutlery and crockery could not be used because it was dirty. The bathrooms Are Moody, Haie from strangers was found in Variolä Place, the whole house smells! There Are no lampshades, just naked bulbs. The kitchen was sticky in several places, the bathrooms very unclean. The penetrant - a shady firm called „smartshortstays ltd „ insisted everything was „Perfect“ although we took photohraphs and videos of everything. They even sent us their own photos, only thing was that the cleaner took photos of rooms we did not use since they were locken. The whole place is not fit to be rented because it needs substantial work to be done to it and not just cleaning. The director of the firm advertises on facebook how to aquire ten properties within ten month and making a lot of money by letting the places. Well, considering asking around 1400 Euros for a 14 day stay in a ruin I would certainly call very business minded. So beware of Stavely House in Chesterfield and the company which is letting it and probably owns it, too. We booked via *********** but the place can be rented via different platforms. We left the property after the first night and when we asked for a refund this was refused point blank.
