Courtyard Statesville Mooresville/Lake Norman

The hotel pool was temporarily closed when we were here. The staff was friendly. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off the wall in a couple of areas. The Bed was comfy and adequate. The laundry room only has one washer and dryer. All in all an average stay

Parking process is centered around the hotel and not the customer! Cannot recommend. First time staying here and was aware of the parking charge when making the reservation, but nowhere was it mentioned how inconvenient it would be. Upon arriving at 9PM I was greeted by the obnoxious parking signs stating you MUST pay by QR code. Ridiculous. Filling in the form on my phone while checking in and obviously frustrated, the front desk staff finally said that you don't have to pay if you're a Marriott member. Which was a relief. However, I still had to go back outside to get the license plate number and come back in. When leaving at 6AM the next morning, I discovered a ticket on the car citing failure to register with their inept 3rd party parking service. So, back into the hotel again to discover I would have to "Trust" the hotel to take care of it. No thank you, I trusted you the night before. When a business puts their wants and needs in front of the customers experience, I choose other businesses as a business traveler myself. Good luck trying to gouge some customers and creating a poor experience in the process. And, the hotel could use a bit of freshening up.

We had our sons rehearsal dinner at Marriott Courtyard and it was fabulous! Alyssa & Dallas and the front staff were wonderful. The banquet room & courtyard were beautiful. The bar area & bartender went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome. It was a memorable occasion & the Marriott Statesville made it happen! Thanku all!

We recently spent a night at this location and had a pretty good experience. The woman at the front desk was very nice both at check-in and check-out. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The price was reasonable. The location was perfect for what we were doing. There is a nice outdoor pool here as well as a gym. The restaurant downstairs made a pretty excellent breakfast. There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance across the street. I did have a problem that I was concerned about. I booked with a third party who charged me prior to arrival. I was charged again by the hotel at check-out. I brought this up to the front desk and they said they would have to pass it on to a manager in a day or two because there was none working that day. I received a phone call several days later and the problem was resolved with no hassle. So although it was a problem, it was easily fixed which I appreciated. I may end up back in town in the future and if I do, I would stay here again.

The service at this location is horrible. The staff is all around rude. We requested our room to be cleaned the second day we had been here and now going on day 4 and our room has not been cleaned. My wife has called the front desk several times requesting a room clean and the last lady hung up on her. I travel all over the country and understand issues but this place sucks. Every time you try to find someone at the front desk they are in the back sitting. The TVs are very small. The food at the bistro is horrible! The quality of the food is from the service, not the food. We eat at other Bistros at other courtyards and the food is good. Stay away from this place don't get ****** in by the price as we did.

I will only give this place a one star because I can’t give them zero stars. I needed a receipt for a cancellation made after the deadline. A simple task, a receipt! That simple task had required me several calls, and still they have not fulfilled that simple task. Every call was handled very unprofessionally and without any business concern. Still I have not received the cancellation receipt, and the useless app doesn’t show the cancellation either. I will do my best to never stay in this property since is not worth my time.

The hotel staff wouldn’t allow us to check-in, because their system was down. They forced people to remain in their lobby, and wouldn’t give them rooms, even if they had a reservation with a card already tied to it. They originally were not even going to give a room to a almost 100 yo women, until the lady traveling with her got a little nasty with them. However, me and my 10 yo son were never able to check-in after waiting almost an hour. There was a whole group of folks stuck in the same situation. Beyond that, the hotel seems run down, and not in a nice area anyway. The Hilton next door seemed much nicer. The exit this hotel is located at is also a mess. There is construction everywhere, and it’s very confusing to navigate. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere. I just want to say it again, and I’m not exaggerating or embellishing…the hotel would not let us check in. When I asked the manager if he expected people to hang out/sleep in the lobby, he said if the system didn’t come up, there wasn’t anything he could do. I need to reach out to some media contacts and see if they want to run a story on this. A hotel that won’t let people have rooms! I feel like they would have a field day with this story.

It was great, the bed was really comfortable. I am not a fan of the room configuration where the tv is not facing the bed but is at an angle to the side… awkward. The shower was nice no tub shower combo which is great.

This Courtyard needs to be updated or downgraded from a Courtyard. When traveling, we always chose Marriott based on its reputation and the points we receive for staying there. This Courtyard had dirty carpets and felt old. The free coffee in the lobby is taken up in the mornings and they wanted you to pay for it… no matter what elite status the member is. Keep traveling on to another place.
