Farmers markets, movie and performing arts theatres, art exhibitions and more.Upon entering the main level of our home, you will be greeted by vaulted ceilings with skylights and an open plan living/dining room with gas-log fireplace and a spacious, well stocked kitchen and laundry room. The split bedroom plan has the master bedroom (ensuite) with queen bed and 4K TV on one side and two additional bedrooms and second full bath on the other side. The screened porch and deck (with gas grill) are accessed from the dining area. The living room also has a 64” 4K TV, Blu-Ray player and a Boss CD/Radio player.The lower level features a spacious rec-room with another gas-log fireplace, foosball table, 64” 4K Roku TV, Blu-Ray player with an extensive assortment of movies. There are also doors that lead to a level wooded outdoor area. The second master bedroom (ensuite) with queen-size bed and 4K TV is on one side while the remaining two bedrooms and full bath are on the other side.We provide a generous starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher pods, hand soap, laundry detergent and trash bags. We also supply a full complement of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. (Please bring your own pool/water-park towels).Please remember, all homes in Massanutten are in a wooded/mountain community. We are all privileged to share the area with nature. This not only includes the deer, squirrels, chipmunks and a wide variety of birds, we also share the same space with black bears, snakes, mice and insects. Using the plastic clips helps keep it from blowing off.- For safety reasons, please don’t add chemicals to the hot tub yourself. If the water looks murky or has a smell, let us know, and we'll have our hot tub expert come by to treat it.- Do not drain the hot tub.- There's no need to turn off the hot tub. The property uses Ring Security. There is a Ring security camera at the main door. There is a Ring Flood Security camera on the front-right of the house. There are two Ring security cams, one on each deck, at the rear of the home. 7. You will be given a link to our TouchStay digital guidebook that will enhance your experience during your stay. If we missed anything, we would love feedback so we can add it.8. A unique 4-digit security code will be sent to you at 3pm on the day of your arrival. This number will unlock the main door. The code will expire on the date of your departure.9. At Massanutten, trash disposal is the responsibility of the guests. Our digital guide will give directions to the nearby disposal areas.10. Massanutten is a beautiful area. It is a mountain, with trees, and pollen, and bugs and lots of wild animals (including bears). Please keep this in mind and prepare appropriately.11. The parking area can comfortably fit 6 vehicles. The main part of the parking area has a brief, steep dip at the beginning but the rest is very level to the home, including an accessible incline to the walkway directly to the main entrance. The parking area includes the paved strip along the street as well.12. We offer a Platinum pool pass to our guests. You are able to take all guests staying at the home to the Stonewall Terrace Pool for MPOA (outdoor pool) off of Peak Drive for free! This pool is open typically from Memorial Day through the beginning of August, and remains open through Labor day if they have enough lifeguards. 13. During winter, please ensure all vehicles are equipped for unfavorable driving conditions. This includes snow chains. Massanutten does a great job of clearing the road to the house. We pretreat with ice melt, plow the driveway and shovel to the main door. Winter on a mountain can have unexpected storms of various intensity. You can also park at the top of the driveway and walk down to the home when conditions are not favorable. Welcome to Duke's Place: a new, custom-built home, located in Massanutten Resort! The home sits on a quiet dead-end street, close to all of the activities, and includes all of the features that make it feel like home. The home has a master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom on the main level. The 2nd floor has a queen bedroom in Bedroom 2, and 3 twin-sized beds in Bedroom 3. Traveling with family or friends? Check out Sam's Place- which is a 3-bedroom home next door!Home is dog friendly! We provide dog bowls, treats, and a spot to hang a leash.The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare and serve home-cooked meals. We also provide a Keurig, and a French Press for coffee. All linens for bedding, towels, and washcloths are included with your stay. We also provide dishwasher tabs, laundry pods, toilet paper and paper towels. Arcade in the basement features a ping pong table, arcade basketball, foosball, and jumbo connect 4.A laundry room with washer and dryer are available for guest use. No smoking in the house. MASSANUTTEN RESORTThe home is located inside the gated community of Massanutten Resort. The Resort offers skiing, two golf courses, water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-carts, tennis, swimming, fishing, parks and more are only a couple miles from the house. The resort maintains 30 miles of hiking trails. Tennis courts are also located by the pool. Resort Activities are available to our guests for an additional fee (must be purchased through the Resort). SURROUNDING AREADowntown Harrisonburg and James Madison University are 15 miles from our home. There are many fantastic restaurant, museums and shops that are fun to explore in downtown. The closest Shenandoah River access is only 10 miles from the house. Tubing and kayaking are fun to enjoy during the summer. The Swift Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Trail is only 15 miles away and offers excellent hiking trails.
