Charming homely centrally heated Victorian Cottage in the village of Pennington opposite the common which is of scientific interest with 6 species of orchids thriving within the boundaries of the New Forest National park. The cottage is reportedly one of the oldest in the village it is situated opposite Pennington Common an area ideal for dog walking also with a new childrens play area.The cottage consists of a hallway, a modern bathroom with toilet and rain shower over bath.There is a very modern kitchen recently refurbished. There is a dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave and is well stocked with crockery and utensils. There is seating for 4 around a circular dining table.The kitchen is open plan leading into a tastefully decorated lounge thoughtfully modernised but still retaining a beautiful black cast iron fireplace in keeping with the age of the property. There is a freeview TV with Netflix and Virgin TV.The lounge opens into a fully enclosed mature garden safe for your dog. Well stocked with plants and an ideal sun trap for Al fresco dining or relaxing on deck chairs provided.Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms,1 double with small feature cast iron fireplace and 1 single. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage and hanging space for your clothes.As with all cottages of this age the stairs are steep so particular care be taken with small children and anybody with mobility problems.The village of Pennington is no more than a few minutes walk away and has two convenience stores one being Tescos. There is also a chemist,fish & chip shop and pub with food. Also within walking distance is an indoor swimmimg pool.The attractive Georgian town of Lymington is 5 minutes drive or a 15 min walk away. There is a fantastic Saturday market which is spread down the length of the High Street. There are many individual shops, restaurants and cafes. There is a lovely cobbled street leading down to the picturesque harbour. In the summer there is a terrific outdoor sea water pool with large inflateable area with a section for paddle boarding as well as swimming. Nestled on the edge of the village of Pilley, in the New Forest National Park is Oak Tree Cottage. With forest tracks on the doorstep, it is ideally situated for relaxing and exploring the New Forest and villages along the South coast. The local ponies and donkeys are frequent visitors to our lane, as they roam freely in the immediate area. Our cottage is tastefully furnished throughout with adequate parking, large garden and barbecue provided for the summer months. There is no traffic noise. Oak Tree cottage is situated within easy reach of the Georgian market town of Lymington, with its lovely cobbled street, quay, array of individual shops and Saturday market, and in the other direction, the quaint village of Beaulieu with its famous National Motor Museum. The Isle of Wight can be reached easily by taking the ferry from Lymington and from nearby Brockenhurst there is a rail link connecting to Bournemouth, Southampton and London Waterloo. The second bedroom has an impressive mahogany Louis XVI double bed and side units with another William Morris wall paper to set it off. A period corner unit supports a smart TV. There is also a beautiful mid 19th century gilt mirror and light fittings. The room is very light benefiting from a large sash window and also has the beautiful White Company bedding.The stylish bathroom with full height ceiling has a definite maritime feel with its feature porthole stain-glass windows complimented by a traditional roll top bath and shower. Lovely soft towels and toiletries from The White Company make for a truly relaxing experience. The shaker style kitchen with traditional Belfast sink is compact but well equipped with an integrated fridge/freezer, dish washer, induction hob & oven, Nespresso coffee machine and toaster. There is also a built-in washer dryer. The elegant Victorian style open plan conservatory floods the kitchen with light and provides a connected cosy dining space. A traditional wood burner provides the focal point of the beautiful living room with its elegant Edwardian mahogany fire surround, comfortable arm chairs and smart TV. The garden is a peaceful space secluded and a real sun trap surrounded by a raised bed full of beautiful shrubs and flowers. The central feature is a timber Breeze House which can comfortably sit six to eat and has its own overhead heater and light. The WiFi also extends to here as well. A very elegant extension to the house’s entertainment area.The property has access to secure 24hr off-street parking just 300m up the road. This special facility is included free with the cottage. It is a well-appointed, self-catering, light and airy garden cabin with a nautical theme and an open plan feel. Sleeping 2 guests, it's just a short walk to historic seaside town Lymington, ferries to the Isle of Wight and nearby beaches. With gorgeous south-facing views towards Keyhaven Nature Reserve and IoW, it is ideal for couples, walkers, birdwatchers and cyclists looking for a relaxing retreat.The lodge backs onto gorgeous south-facing views of the Keyhaven nature reserve and Isle of Wight, and is complete with garden, chairs and bbq with both sets of doors opening onto the lawn. The lodge regularly gives you an up-close and personal experience with some of the local wildlife, with more permanent residents including Roe deer, owls, song birds, pheasants and more.Conveniently located on the main coast road from Lymington to Christchurch, Bournemouth and beyond. Apologies, but no dogs due to the local wildlife, chickens and open fields backing onto the property.The bedroom has a king-sized bed that can be split into twins on request, space for a cot (not provided) and an electric radiator. There is also a small table and chairs for eating. The lawn area has some privacy screening and is complete with decking, a bistro table and chairs, deck chairs, dining area, BBQ and lighting. The cabin is situated away from the house in a secluded position in the garden of Crewkerne Cottage, just off the main route from historic Lymington to new Milton. It offers privacy, personal space and most importantly peace and quiet. Accessed through the large driveway, there's easy parking for multiple vehicles and storage for bikes. The lodge is just a short-walk down the gravel path away from the house and behind a fence for added privacy. We are mostly on-site throughout your stay so if there are any additional requirements, or recommendations needed please ask.Our cabin is self-catering and there are plenty of local shops, takeaways and a Waitrose nearby. The cabin is heated so can be used all year.There is plenty of parking including room for a small boat and trailer.
