There are also many wonderful country walks. Elmer is also incredibly quiet, I fell in love with the village on my first visit. The flat has been recently refurbished. Supermarkets are 10 min drive away for all amenities. An English seaside paradise, complete with its eight salt water pools and sandy beach. Whether as a romantic getaway...or special occasion...maybe a chance to relax and unwind...a business trip...or simply a change of scenery to working from home, Elmer is absolutely perfect! Whilst Elmer, along with the neighbouring villages of Middleton-on-Sea, Clymping and Felpham feel wonderfully quiet and remote. In reality, you are in fact only around a ten minute drive from the four diverse and substantially sized towns of Arundel, Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. Chichester is in fact the county's capital and Arundel is beautifully quaint town brimming with history, including a cathedral, river and quite possibly one of the country's best-kept castles, definitely worth a visit. The apartment has recently been fully refurbished and has a spacious, modern, stylish yet beachy feel, whilst still feeling homely. I have called the property Goldeneye, named after Ian Fleming's beach side house in Jamaica, the author of the James Bond books.Maybe start the day with a quick sea swim, followed by short walk back to the apartment for a nice hearty breakfast and freshly brewed coffee. Then out for a long ramble in the countryside or along the beach taking in the sunshine and fresh sea air, stopping by one of the lovely local pubs for lunch. Then, after a relaxing shower, either snuggling in on the sofa for a movie, or maybe an evening drink out on the patio or perhaps a visit to The Cabin for some live music, or maybe even to the local chippy for some fish and chips on the beach, could it get any more British! There is "superfast fibre" WiFi, so whether catching up on your emails or streaming movies, the Internet should be plenty fast enough. Dogs are welcome, in fact the area is great for dog walking. The apartment incudes two dog bowls, a dog towel and jar of treats to make sure your pooches also feel welcome too! There are also several dog friendly pubs located nearby. Bedroom - comes equipped with a double wardrobe, desk, hair dryer and Bluetooth speaker for unwinding to your favourite playlist of tunes.Bathroom - features a huge shower, perfect for after those long country walks or day at the beach!Kitchen - includes a washing machine, iron / ironing board, fridge / freezer, blender, oven, microwave, hob, kettle, toaster and all cooking utensils, pots and pans.Lounge - includes a 42" smart TV and very comfortable sofa, perfect for a movie night or Netflix binge!The apartment has central heating, so keeps nice and cosy during those cold winter months. There is a communal patio area where you can enjoy relaxing in the warmer months, in the morning with your freshly brewed coffee and in the evening with a cheeky glass of wine (or two!). The flat includes its own patio table and chairs. The beach is accessed simply by crossing the road to enjoy the quiet sandy paradise that is Elmer, whether it be a quick dip in one of the salt water bays or a gentle stroll.There is a dedicated parking space for the flat within the apartment car park. Parking is free at all times.Guest Access:There is parking space clearly marked with the flat number located in the second car park entrance on the left. The flat is located round the back of the car park. There is a pub a two minute walk from the flat, along with a local convenience store around a five minute walk away.There is also a bus stop nearby.You're spoilt for choice when it comes to walks or bike rides, from a stroll along the beach, to a ramble in the countryside.Whilst Elmer has a lovely remote feel due to it being so quiet, you're still within a short drive 10-30 mins from many local towns such as Chichester, Arundel, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, if you fancy the hustle and bustle or simply need a supermarket to grab some groceries.There is also a leisure centre including a gym and tennis courts located around a two minute drive from the flat.Guest Interaction:Whilst you'll have the property to yourself, I live locally and wish to make sure your stay is perfect. I'm simply a phone call away if there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to contact me.Other Notes:Bathroom towels and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner included, along with a spare towel for dogs. Also include spare pack of sanitory products and make up wipes. Don't forget your swimwear though! Also, definitely worth bringing a paddleboard if you have one. There's a large throw for snuggling up on the sofa in the evening! A hamper of goodies upon arrival.The Neighbourhood Overview:The flat is situated on a private beach estate, so it is generally very quiet, but the locals are absolutely lovely and happy to chat.The Cabin is a wonderful local dog friendly pub, featuring regular live music. So if you do wish to interact with some of the locals, this is a great place!On my first visit to Elmer, I fell in love with its beautiful beach and tranquil feel. I'm a big fan of Cornwall, which Elmer reminds me of. The flat has been a very personal project as I also holiday there myself.Getting Around:By car, there is the A259 which is the West to East Coast road, giving easy access to Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Chichester and Arundel.By train, the nearest train station is Ford which is about ten min drive awayBy bus, the bus stop is a two min walk from the flat (outside The Cabin pub), which has a regular service.By foot, there are many wonderful local walks, both beach and countryside. Sea Vale has been in our family since my wife was a child. Initially it was only for our own use but since deciding to make it available for others to use we have totally renovated the house, bringing it flying into the 21st Century.The house is right on the beach with lovely sea views and has a beautiful open plan living style on the ground floor flowing onto a wooden deck with the garden beyond which faces South. There are four double bedrooms. Every modern convenience has been thought of including under-floor heating throughout the ground floor. The decor is strictly "seaside" with plenty of little touches that leave you in no doubt that you are living on the beach.Walk out of the garden gate onto Elmer Beach which has to be one of the quietest & most private beaches on the South coast. Elmer Beach Estate is privately owned with no public access to the beach (although some local people do walk through the estate). Belfairs is a wonderful & substantial 1930's house with a really stylish interior & fantastic garden!Gigabit Full Fibre Internet & great WiFi!We love good dogs so they can stay for free!Just one row back from the Sea; it's only 2 minutes walk to the quiet private beach.Set in a plot of about ¼ of an acre on the Private Summerley Estate in Felpham.The house is just around a 20 minute drive to Goodwood, the South Downs National Park & likewise to the historic towns of Arundel and Chichester.Belfairs is our home and we live here when guests are not staying, it is looked after as a private home & not a pure holiday rental so you can be assured that great care will be taken for your enjoyment of this wonderful property. We have offered Belfairs for family holidays since August 2017 and we have had many hundreds of very happy guests stay since then all leaving five-star feedback! Previously offered on Airbnb and also on other sites via the wonderful Laura Lye, who helped us as our agent, but we have always dealt with absolutely everything at the house and looked after all guests personally. Due to rules we cannot include our previous five-star reviews as this is a brand new listing, but please click on the individual photos to get a flavour of our previous guests enjoyment, thank you. The house is extremely spacious at over 2,000 sq ft with tasteful décor and is full of character. It is very well laid out for guests to enjoy both a holiday by the sea or walking on the South Downs & visiting nearby historic towns.There are beautiful wooden floors throughout the ground floor which also make it practical and dog friendly. The living room is very large with 3 sofas and a working open fire for logs. There is a 50" Panasonic TV in the sitting room, also a DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room has a table which seats up to six & there’s a second TV here. The large adjoining dining room easily seats 8. There is also a ground floor cloakroom.We have a large garden room with two sofas to relax and enjoy the sunshine which streams in through the huge windows. This room also has an extra fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and a large third TV. There is plenty of space for walking boots and beach paraphernalia and a huge Belfast sink for cleaning up such things! There is a separate shower room adjoining the garden room which is great when you come in from a day on the beach or on the nearby South Downs. The adjoining garage can be used to store bikes etc.Upstairs there are two very large & bright bedrooms with windows looking towards the sea, two further very good-sized double bedrooms and also a single bedroom taking the maximum sleeping capacity to 10. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is also a large family bathroom on this floor. There are 5 bedrooms in all: the master bedroom has a king size bed, bedroom 2 has 3 single beds, bedroom 3 and 4 have double beds and bedroom 5 has a single bed (also a hand basin in this room). Guests should be aware that the staircase, as shown in the photographs, are polished wood and therefore guests should only go up and down wearing shoes or with bare feet to avoid the possibility of slipping. There is a chunky rope banister on the stairs making it safer and more attractive but just wearing socks is to be avoided.There is a fabulous secluded private garden of around ¼ acre with different areas for guests to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and lazy BBQs on a summer’s day with five sun loungers available. We have a large patio with a table and six chairs, plus several further garden chairs.There is ample parking for three or more cars on the drive. Additional parking permits can be requested in advance so guests with more than three cars can park in the street when necessary.As Belfairs is at the end of the Private Estate & cul-de-sac, it is not only moments from the beach but there are very few cars who pass by, making it really safe getting children and dogs down to the beach, greensward & promenade.The Sea near the house has very low tidal currents and this area is widely considered to be among one of the safest beaches in the country. Children will also love the exciting rockpools which are exposed at low tides, especially down towards Middleton-on-Sea. The Sea water quality in this area is consistently classified as Good/Excellent; we are located approximately midway between Felpham and Middleton-on-Sea sampling points.
