This was the first home situated on this secluded stretch of White Sound beach, built in 1982. The home and its grounds have been maintained and updated periodically and, since its construction, has been fit with all the modern amenities, including a backup generator. Over the years, time and storms have pushed the shoreline closer and closer to the property, offering uniquely spectacular views from the front porch. The property is situated perfectly between the charming village of Hopetown and the serene white sands of Tahiti beach, with bars, restaurants, and shopping in between. Although this is a walker's paradise, the island is dominated by golf carts - which is not currently included with the house but can be rented from a number of nearby companies. Barefoot Beach, located in Hope Town on the southern end of Elbow Cay in the Abacos, Bahamas, is a newly renovated oceanfront two story beach house, designed for up to three families or six couples. It has great views and accommodates up to 16 guests, featuring six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It has two master bedrooms, one on each floor, along with two other bedrooms on each floor. Each master is en suite, with another bathroom for the remaining bedrooms. All new furniture and appliances, including two refrigerators in the kitchen to make sure your food and beverages have plenty of room to stay cold. Each refrigerator has an ice maker as well. There is a gas grill (propane included) and a charcoal grill (charcoal not included). We also have a back up generator that powers the entire house so you're never without power. There's also a reverse osmosis water maker to make sure you always have water.Barefoot Beach has it's own private beach, a spacious living area with high ceilings, a wraparound porch, and a pool overlooking the ocean. It is only a 10 minute walk or a quick ride to the world famous Tahiti Beach on the southern tip of the island. There's also a private boat slip included, located at Marnie's Creek on the Sea of Abaco just a short walk or golf cart ride away. The boat slip is 11' wide and will fit a boat up to 30' long. A 10' or less beam is recommended so your boat will comfortably fit in the slip. Our caretakers will pick you up at the dock, make sure you have everything you need while staying at Barefoot Beach, and make sure you get back to the dock/ferry safely when departing. Hurricane Dorian wrecked havoc to our beautiful island on September 1, 2019. We have been working hard to restore/rebuild our property. We are pleased to announce the opening of both our rental homes, Gully's Ridge and Gully's Nest as well as the pool.Located on an inlet waterway fed by the Hope Town harbour, the ONLY access to our property is by boat. We are close to the settlement but in a peaceful, private setting. The home features a private dock w/ dingy provided for harbour use, wifi, Streaming TV, A/C, and backup generator power. This home can accommodate up to 7 people with use of the sleeping nook and half bath. If your party contains more than 7 people, you'll need more space than Gully's Nest provides. Please check her sister property, Gully's Ridge # 170331 which can also accommodate 7 additional guests for it's availability. Gully's Nest has two bedrooms suites that flank the living/dining and kitchen area of this beautiful, secluded vacation rental home. Traverse across the inlet waterway in the dingy provided and walk over a small hill to a gorgeous white sandy beach on the Atlantic side of the island. We also offer tour trips with the legendary Abaco guide, Cap'n Robert Lowe or his wife, Karen. You can also climb our historically famous red and white candy striped lighthouse. It is the last lighthouse in the world that is still manually operated. There is a wonderful museum in the settlement full of artifacts and information of how the island was settled by Carolinian's who came here after the revolutionary war to stay loyal to the queen. You can reserve an "island hopping tour" with us or rent a boat and go exploring our neighbor islands and appreciate each one for their own independent charm or go to one of our national sea parks and snorkel over the colorful reefs full of sea life. Lots of history and activities to see and do while slowing down on your vacation and relaxing with the 'island pace.'Finally, if you have other friends or family that want to join you, we also have another 3bedroom/2bath rental home, known as Gully's Ridge, on an adjacent property.
