A Critical Review (helpful!)It has a low loft with two twin beds, and a bedroom with vaulted ceiling and queen bed. So, this cabin accommodates 4 adults comfortably. For the budget friendly groups or families, someone can sleep on the couch (normal couch) and a cot is available on request, as well as a pack-n-play. It has a full kitchen (with all dishes included) with two dorm size refrigerators, as well as a full bathroom with small shower stall. Note that the wide angle lens used to capture the images of the inside of the cabin make it look slightly larger than it is. ...The cabin is situated near the top of the property, which slopes down hill for 8 acres and ends at Boltz Lake. Guests are welcome to explore down to the lake and enjoy the beautiful nature scenery. Fishing is permitted at the lake with a fishing license that can be obtained at Walmart just 1.5 miles away. Within a short drive, a dock amd boat ramp are located on the opposite side of the lake. The property is in one sense secluded but, at the same time, only minutes from town and the highway. ...Deer, ground hogs, and rabbits live on the property. We would love for you to enjoy them, while not scaring them! : )...All soaps, shampoos, blankets, linens, towels, and such are provided freshly cleaned for each guest. (We have put a lot of research into our linens. We do not think you will be disappointed in them.)...2. $50 CLEANING DISCOUNTWe are making available a $50 discount to anyone who would like to do their own cleaning on arrival. Here is how it works, you take the cabin as it was left by the last guests, changing your own linens out and any other cleanup you wish to do. We provide all that is needed for this in linens, towels, cleaning supplies, vacuum, etc. Many times, all this requires for guests is changing out the bed sheets and a quick wipe down of counters and shower. (Prior guests usually have placed their laundry in the laundry basket, which can simply be placed in a plastic bag and set on the porch for pickup.) We are seeking ways to keep our costs down for those guests who deem it worthwhile. We have learned from our years of doing this that our guests are almost always very clean. So, we thought we could offer to pass some savings off to our guests in this way. If the cabin was to be very messy on your arrival, we will up to refund to $80.....Also, the Creation Museum is 40 minutes away, and between the Creation Museum and the cabin is Big Bone Lick State Park. The Cincinnati zoo and other attractions are also around. As a side recommendation, if this is your first visit to the Ark Encounter, we do recommend more than a day, if you are able. This unquie convenient Farm Stay is centrally located in the ‘Golden Triangle’ between Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati. The Lodge is located on a private 331 acre family operational beef cattle farm. A stay at Riley Farms will not only provide you exposure to an operational cattle farm, but also gives you a convenient experience to be with mother nature, where our wide-open spaces are filled with plenty of sights of wildlife, birds, rabbits, turkey, deer and more. The Lodge is nestled in between Kentucky's gently rolling hills and provides a simple escape to nature's paradise. We welcome you to take walks or a jog (if you happen to be a runner) down our gravel lane, where you can take in views of cattle and calves grazing in the fields, and likely a picture prefect sun rise or sunset. The Lodge has a fully stocked kitchen to enjoy on site cooked meals. The back/side yard easily allows you to enjoy a game of wiffle ball, soccer or other yard games. You may want to spend your evenings around the firepit roasting a hotdog or marshmallows or just relaxing in your lawn chair outdoors in the countryside. Should it be winter, we encourage you travel to KY with 4-wheel drive due to possible snow and icy conditions at times. The Lodge contains 3 private bedrooms (two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and one room with 2 full beds), as well as 2 sofa pull-out couches that can each sleep 2 and single roll-away bed. The Lodge can comfortably sleep 13, with 2 full bathrooms and onsite washer and dryer. Along with a large open living room and kitchen, and with stocked Coffee/Tea area. The large customize built kitchen island is the focal point of the Lodge and provides a great space for conversation over meals you can prepare on site.
