Buxton and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse are 6 miles to the north. Shopping, groceries and restaurants are available in both and also nearby camp store in Frisco. Close to off road ramps 48 and 49 in Frisco. You need a permit from Park Service. The Hatteras Ferry Landing is 4 miles south with the free ferry to Ocracoke for a day trip.
