Our vacation rental is a private guest suite attached to a private residence, located in scenic Crawford, CO. Seated in the North Fork Valley Art District. Crawford is home to a beautiful reservoir, trophy hunting, multiple wildlife species and plenty of scenic adventures. We offer a fully stocked suite, with a kitchen, private bath, separate entrance, wi-fi, queen sized bed, pull out couch, roll away cot and laundry facility. Hunters are welcome. We DO have good WiFi, but DO NOT have TV. The cottage is conveniently close to everything that is great about Paonia as downtown is only a five minute walk. There you'll find your choice of great restaurants including the Back Country Bistro, The Living Farm Cafe, The Flying Fork, Louie’s Pizza, and the infamous Revolution Brewery, or attend a movie, concert or yoga class at the wonderful Paradise Theatre or Blue Sage Center for the Arts. Tour the numerous local wineries which are within a 10 -15 minute drive from the cottage, or take a leisurely drive through the valley to see all the bounty and beauty of our many organic farms and orchards. Great hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and world-class trout fishing are all within easy reach. Paonia boasts fantastic musicians, writers, artists and craftspeople along with many festivals such as Cherry Days in July, Mountain Harvest Fest in September, and a local film festival in early Spring. While visiting Paonia and the North Fork Valley, you will experience some of the most spectacular scenery in Western Colorado; the Black Canyon National Monument, Grand Mesa, West Elks Scenic Byway, the historic mining towns of Redstone and Marble, and both Kebler and McLure passes are all within an hour and a half drive. Experience life on a ranch with a gorgeous view of the Grand Mesa! Our "Barndominium" is a 2 BR (more like 1 1/2) remodeled upper level living quarters of an older barn. Enjoy roaming around 70 acres of horse ranch with 27 horses to learn their names and pick your favorite. Watch horses in training, chickens laying eggs pet the goats in the petting zoo. The cows and bulls are too. The star of the show for the kids is our miniature Donkey named "BoMama". Bring your pet and walk around our ranch to unwind and enjoy nature. Kids will love playing on the swing set/play house. There is a queen sized bed with an adjoining bedroom area to accommodate a comfortable twin sized bed. In the great room there is also a queen sized "Murphy Bed" for additional sleeping space. This is one of 4 rental properties on the ranch which makes for a great family and friend gathering or a fun space for a reunion or event, including weddings. We even have an RV space that can hookup to water and electricity for rent. We also have EV charging on site up at the workshop.
