There are hiking and mountain bike trails nearby. The red rocks of Sedona are only 27 miles away. There are ancient cliff cave dwellings just down the road less than 10 minutes from here.You will pass an old unkempt house and an overgrown field before you get to our Cliff View Casita, but this is holistic - life is not perfect! I can not apologize for someone else's messy place or their fields. But, once you turn into our street, a stunning view will open before you!Kids stay free. However, it may be best to book downstairs if you're concerned about many artifacts being handled by your kids or the high balcony.Other things to noteOur home is close to Camp Verde downtown and Fort Verde State Park & the historic Hance house. You can easily walk around the town and visit this old cowboy town that dates back to 1870. Plus, we have the Yavapai Apache tribal headquarters and Cliff Castle Casino 3 miles away which periodically has cultural events.Since Camp Verde sits right in the center of Arizona like a donut hole- you can drive to Sedona, Prescott, Jerome, Strawberry and Pine in about 30-45 minutes and the mountain town of Flagstaff or Payson in about an hour. The magnificent Grand Canyon is only about 2 hours north of us. The uniquely beautiful public library, farms and orchards are just down the hill where you can buy fresh corn, watermelons and other vegetables and fruit.
