Welcome to the Time Capsule! This 1950s home is more unique than most hotel rooms in Baker City, Oregon. With only one owner in 71 years, the 2 bed, 1 bath vacation rental is filled with charm. All we added during the restoration phase is air conditioning, a few antique furniture gems, and mid-century modern decor for style, comfort, and a fun blast through the past. Everything else is original, including the hardwood floors which we found hidden underneath the carpet! They were quite literally, held in a time capsule. The living room and dining area are in an open-concept type room, with the kitchen in the room over. The basement and one-car garage are accessible through the kitchen.Both our green and blue, and blue and pink pastel, themed rooms have a queen bed and tons of classic, 1950s built-in storage. For those who need a dedicated workspace, the blue and pink room also has a beautiful antique desk.The yard is small but cozy; it has green grass, trees, and shrubs on a corner lot with a small deck through the sliding door.
