I am a solo female traveler from America. The owner and family took wonderful care of me. As if I were their family and not just a guest. The owner drove me to the Mao scenic area, helped me find the ticket area, and returned later to take me home. Then he later drove me to a restaurant for dinner, where I also met his cute dog Wang Wang, and afterwards took me to the evening musical performance about Mao. Which was great to see even not speaking Chinese. My departure train was late in the afternoon but they allowed me to just rest in the hotel lounge and garden. Gave me tea, fruit, and cake while I waited. Even offered to drive me to the train! So friendly. So kind. And hotel room was VERY comfortable. Stay here! Ps. I recommend using WeChat to communicate with the host if you don’t speak Chinese. Made things so easy.

非常出乎意料的好，本來沒報什麼希望。結果老闆娘熱情接站，房間乾淨整潔，床墊被子枕頭乾淨鬆軟特別舒服。衞生間也乾乾淨淨。除了空調聲音有點大，其他真的都太好了。 地理位置也很好，就在換乘中心邊上，下午去參觀故居，晚上回來休息會，七點出門去看演出，非常方便。夜場票便宜還省了好多錢。

Family friendly homely place which is conveniently located just opposite the main tourist attraction. The owner is a very nice gentleman who takes care of the guests by providing home made dishes and also doubles up as driver to pick up and drop from the train station. He also arranged for a day trip around the town.

我們這次出行是恰逢毛主席誕辰，整體來説很滿意。 房間是榻榻米式的，衞生挺乾淨的，晚上睡覺絕對安靜，離銅像廣場故居等地方走路大概十幾分鐘的距離。 韶山村坐車不太方便，因為比較偏，加上重大節假日限行，所以一般都很難打車，坐來回大巴又很折騰。不過幸好可以找老闆幫忙約車出行，價格也公道。去韶峯、滴水洞、高鐵站都可以，5座車的話韶峯滴水洞等近一點的來回30，高鐵站遠一些是30一趟，逢重大節日會貴一點，方便確實挺方便的。 吃飯也是一直在民宿的一樓餐廳吃的，包括早餐和正餐，因為附近吃飯的地不是特別多。早餐是吃罈子肉粉/麪，10塊一位，加蛋2塊。正餐的話，菜都是現炒的，時蔬都是老闆自己種的，很新鮮，特色是毛氏紅燒肉58、精品毛氏紅燒肉108，兩者的差別就是精品賣相更好看，用的五層肉品質會更好，兩種都嘗過了，個人感覺還是普通的更划算更好吃。店裡還可以買村子自己炒的茶，一袋500g80塊，喝着還行，和朋友都帶了幾包走。 門票也可以找老闆幫買，本地人有優惠。最憶韶山沖**買要218，老闆138幫我們買的。韶峯**是89兩位，老闆也是這個價位幫我們拿的票。 玩的話去了銅像廣場、故居、生平館、專題館、韶峯，還去看了最憶韶山沖舞台劇，。銅像廣場大型節假日會人流管控。故居、生平和專題需要預約進場，不過不預約的話排隊刷身份證也會讓進，這個工作人員不管。韶峯上下山都是坐纜車，露天的那種，比較刺激，恐高的慎重。最憶韶山沖歌舞劇算是這次最有價值的，車接車送，時長大概60-70分鐘，很有感染力，開場和散場的時候在場館裏有演員拿着文創來賣，都是銅的，説是老謀子參與設計的，整體質感很不錯，沉甸甸的，有掛飾鑰匙扣手串等，便宜的38，貴的大幾十，比外面同質化的產品要有意義的多，買完可以送為人民服務胸章，同行4個人瘋狂消費買了十幾件花了六七百吧。 整體而言，這次旅行很不錯，希望下次有機會可以再來。 最後，毛主席永垂不朽。

Great family-run hotel, they made me feel so welcome and helped sort out for me a trip to the outdoor theatre show, transport there and seeing all the historical sites to see there, all within walking distance. The serve really good food there whenever you want it! The family was really friendly and I got on really well with them and when I left the father drove me to the train station and the whole family jumped in to join me for the ride!

The couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things. I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

從長沙來湘潭短暫出遊，選擇離湘潭市博物館近的酒店。酒店可能開業比較久了，樓棟電梯有點老化。辦理入住層和實際入住層不一樣，有點不方便。但是好在室內環境還不錯，房間視野開闊。 電視機略小了一點，但房間其他設施沒有大礙。總體而言不錯的體驗。推薦入住。

The owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. I would definitely recommend this place! 谢谢你们对我们的悉心照顾!

Awesome hotel, super clean with huge rooms with great windows. The hostess was so so helpful and worked so hard to get us checked in! The location is great right down the street from an outdoor mall with restaurants
