I stayed at Holiday Inn Stansted the night before an early morning flight, and I was genuinely impressed by how much more than just “an airport hotel” this place is. The check-in was seamless, with friendly staff who actually smile—a small detail that goes a long way when you’re tired from travel.
The room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly quiet despite being next to a major airport. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and the blackout curtains did their job perfectly. It’s clear they’ve designed the rooms for rest, not just stopovers.
What sets this hotel apart? The little things: USB ports by the bed, a decent-sized desk for last-minute work, and a lobby bar that actually serves decent food late into the night (which is rare around airports).
The location is unbeatable—just a few minutes’ shuttle ride to the terminal. If you’ve got an early flight or a layover, this place takes the stress out of the equation.
Would I stay here again? Without hesitation. It’s not just about catching a flight—it’s about starting (or ending) your journey well.
