Extremely Disappointing Customer Service I stayed at The Farmhouse in Guernsey in May and while the property itself is lovely, the customer service I experienced was utterly appalling. I inadvertently left my charger behind and contacted the hotel shortly after. A member of staff assured me it had been found and would be held safely for collection. However, when I called back to arrange collection, I was informed that the charger had mysteriously gone missing. The person who answered the phone at reception flatly told me “it’s not my problem” and refused to provide either their name or that of a manager. When I requested to speak with someone in charge, I was dismissively told no one would make themselves available and to “send an email”. Frankly, this is disgraceful behaviour from a supposedly reputable establishment. I spent over £600 for a one-night stay, not including dinner and drinks, and one would expect a basic level of accountability—if not a gesture of goodwill, then at least a sincere apology. Instead, I was met with indifference and an appalling attitude. The treatment I received was shockingly poor and reflects a total disregard for guest experience. I will not be returning and would urge others to reconsider before booking.
