Les Douvres Hotel

Fab stay! Kay was SO friendly on reception. We loved the bar/restaurant. Only slight downside was you could hear the noise from the bar in our room. Earplugs sorted it though! Would definitely come back! Lovely hear6one of the waiters "July" sing!

Had a bad experience this Christmas here, My wife usually stays here when she comes over as its conviniently located near her parents, This Christmas eve we were booked in here for 3 nights the flight was planned to reach Guernsey for about 5pm however we had delay's due to the weather and eventually landed just before midnight. We had made the hotel aware we would be late on a few occasions giving them an updated eta each time we where told at the airport. When we landed we got a taxi to the hotel at roughly midnight and could not get any answer at the door or by telephoning the hotel we ended up having to stay at my wife's sisters house on the floor who lives at the other end of the island. When we turned up to check in the next day it was 9:35AM we where offered no explanation, apology or refund for the night we didnt stay with them. Breakfast which we had booked also finished at 9:30AM which is fair enough but when we asked if there was anything left they simply said breakfast had finished and we couldnt have anything. The staff member dealing with us was quite rude but it was Christmas day and we had a busy day planned so we just got to our room and carried on with our day. Our flights leaving where also delayed by 2 days so we needed to book into a hotel for a further 2 nights we booked the La Villette and had a much better experience the staff at La Villete where much friendlier and breakfast was great. We wont be using Les Douvres again it is in a good location for our needs but the overall quality of the hotel is poor and the staff are rude and not very hospitable and having such a bad experience has left quite a bad taste, Had we not had family on the island we really would of been stuffed.

Charming & Atmospheric Charming hotel in a beautiful location on Guernsey. Excellent location for exploring cliff paths and beautiful bays offering breathtaking views and restorative swims. Busy and atmospheric restaurant offering a good selection of food with excellent and very friendly service. Room reasonably comfortable and cleanliness acceptable, but in general we felt the rooms and corridors could do with a refresh and deep clean. We would consider staying again depending on rates. Very well serviced bus route outside the door.

Lovely hotel The staff were very nice and attentive. The room was comfortable and I only dropped a point as it could do with a dusting around the skirting. The food was excellent and breakfast was cooked to order. I would return

Stayed for four nights at this hotel which is a 15 minute walk from the town centre of st Martins and very close to the southern coast of the island .I was in a double room that was clean comfortable and had all I needed.I had dinner at the hotel on all four nights .I wasn’t originally planning to not least because there are a couple of other restaurants very near but the food was so good I stayed at the hotel.There was a huge range of dishes on the menu to satisfy all tastes and in particular the seafood was very fresh but was very positive about all I had I should also mention that the staff members were universally efficient helpful and very pleasant in their manner Great place to stay
