Premier Inn Bury St Edmunds Town Centre

Nice stay in the centre of Bury St Edmunds within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and Cathedral The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Nicky on reception was helpful on check in and with organisation us a late check out which we really appreciated Breakfast was delicious and the chef very friendly

A great wee facility in the centre of one of the most beautiful cities in the United Kingdom well within walking distance of the market square and all the dining areas with also being close to other small towns Staff are outstanding very welcoming and friendly and although we had a minor problem with the bathroom we were delighted with the resolution. The restaurant staff, Nikki especially were very helpful and friendly.

Parking was difficult, staff not available at check in, bar closed at 10pm for "stocktaking", hardly and continental items available at breakfast, 15 minute wait for self service food, hotel not well cleaned, staff never available. One of the worst Premier Inns I have stayed at.

Great location means a great night sleep. Back here for the first hotel of the year, this time for a gig at the Apex. Price was excellent (£59 for a standard room) Room (107) was excellent as always, great shower, nice bed. Pillows not the best I’ve ever had, think they needed replacing. But hotel overall lived up to the expectation, this was my 7th visit to this one and got 2 more booked for later this year. As usual we did the early check in, a little annoyed to find it’s jumped to £15 (from £10) but it’s still (just) worth it if only for convenience. They now charge £3.00 for parking which, given their proximity to town, makes sense as their car park was getting full with shoppers and not hotel guests. As long as this stays at £3.00 won’t be a problem. Didn’t have breakfast as not sure it’s worth the £11.00 But no complaints and we will return again in April.

Staff were super friendly, room was big enough for 2, mattress and pillow comfy good nights sleep. Body wash/hand soap smelt lovely. Arm chair was also a great addition. Mirror with light perfect set up to sit and put some skincare and makeup on.

This is a well located hotel in the centre of town. It is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly. It wasn't overly expensive and has all the facilities you would need for a basic night or two. the rooms are a good size and clean and modern. The beds are reasonably comfortable but pillows could be softer. Negative points are noisy Bathroom extractor fans that cant be turned off at night. and windows that cannot be opened even a small amount for fresh air. so room became a little stuffy due to poor AC. That aside this is a good hotel and i would recommend people stay who are looking for a Standard or budget no frills hotel for a night or two. With Premier Inn you know what you are getting which is what I like.
