Hotel Agava Split arvostelua

This property was amazing. The staff went above and beyond to help us and even offer help finding another hotel when we decuded to stay another night in Split and they were booked! We really appreciated all they did!

Rocky start, but got much better We had an interesting 2 night stay. It didn't start out great, but got better. Our room in no way looked like what I had purchased from the photos. I paid for a large, superior room with a king bed, hard wood floors and lots of light, (I thought). What we got was; a queen bed in a small room with carpeting. It had a couple windows with nice views, but we felt that the cost should literally be half as much. The manager and I went back and forth and we thought about leaving. However, we didn't have time to find a new place, the location seemed great and we were tired and wanted to settle in. She gave us 2 days of free breakfast to help remedy the issue. After that - we had a very friendly host for the rest of our stay and found the room quiet and comfortable enough for our 2 nights. Additionally, the location was really great and central. It turned out the breakfast was much more than we expected, at a restaurant that was a 5 minute walk away. It was a delicious 'brunch level' menu of large, very well prepared breakfasts that fueled us up for the whole day. Net net: I would recommend this small hotel, but wanted to note that the photos might not (at all) match what you get, so be forewarned! They should really consider fixing the photos.

Room was small but quaint. Tv didn’t work but didn’t need it any way. No elevator so lugging baggage upstairs. Great location for all the sites in old town Split

The staff assisted us with check in including parking our rental car in a safe lot and transporting our bags to the hotel. The front desk staff were polite and informative and took the time to explain the history of the area when we showed our interest. We were provided dining options and sightseeing options on the local map. The room was clean and the pool was a bonus as most hotels in the area do not have this option. Our stay was fantastic!

Possibly the nicest hotel we've stayed in. Ideal position for visiting Split, close to Old Town and Palace for sightseeing with lots of nice restaurants and bars also close by. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the property was really quaint with lots of character. Can't recommend this property enough.

Just wonderful place!

This is a good location, pool area very nice, also,upstairs terrace. There was no free parking and no valet parking as stated on *******. We didn’t get the superior room w 3 beds and view we paid for. But they finally changed our room for last night and compensated for the error. Rooms are quite small, and few amenities, ie no ice no milk.

Located near marina and walking distance to Central Square. Great people working there

Great little hotel This is a great hotel, perfectly placed near the centre of town, although quiet and easy to find. Staff were excellent, very helpful and efficient staff

This property is a hidden jewel with quaint rooms, excellent staff, and beautiful outdoor spaces, including a covered patio and refreshing pool.

Easy and pleasant stay This was a pleasant and easy stay. Only negatives - bed was not a king (listed as king), and the red carpeting on the floor was as it sounds...just not pleasant to have carpeted rooms anymore. Overall we had a good stay - the pool looked fantastic though we didn't get to use it! Parking lot and the city is a very short walk. Staff was super nice and helpful. Note: certain rooms have quite a climb up the stairs!

If you're looking for a beautiful stone Heritage Hotel, right in the centre of Split, with staff who make you feel like family, look no further than this hotel. I arrived late on my first night due to train delays. I made contact with the hotel staff who assured me it was no problem. Upon checking in at 1am, I was extremely impressed by the room. It was as clean as anywhere I have ever stayed, with modern fittings and furniture set on the backdrop of an amazing old stone building. The room itself felt like where modern luxury and ancient architecture meet. My room connected directly to the pool, and I was delighted to find a range of reasonably priced drinks and snacks available within the room. The following day I met Jago, who I had only spoken to on the phone previously. He was incredibly warm and welcoming and informed me that following their end of season staff party, they had left the remaining drinks for guests for free. Jago proceeded to explain a few of the drinks available, some unique Croatian liqueurs which were all the more enjoyable once their cultural significance was explained. At all times I was a short walk from the waterfront. The location is ideal. The hotel is about as clean and tidy as anywhere I have ever stayed. The pool is heated and is a beautiful way to start or finish your day. Later I met Marina, the manager. She was once again incredibly welcoming, responding to my questions about the area and even inviting me to stay for coffee while we discussed possible activities for me. The hotel also provides a laundry service. I left my laundry with them in the morning and when I returned, it was cleaned, folded and returned to my room. Staff went above and beyond here, from Jago to Marina and the housekeeping staff. I could not rate them highly enough. Coupled with the beautiful building and the Central location together with the pool, this place is truly not to be missed. Thank you Hotel Agava, I will most certainly return!
